It is appropriate for us to mark the death on July 25th of Harry Patch. Aged 111 years, Harry Patch was the last surviving British soldier from our race’s First Peloponnesian War of the last century (World War I).
These two fratricidal wars — like the original ones among the Greeks of Antiquity — pretty much accomplished the complete and possibly fatal wreck of our race and civilization.
Patch survived a horrific service in the trenches of Flanders as a machine gunner in which he suffered severe wounds.
For most of his life he was reticent about the War and his service in it.
However, after his 100th birthday Patch began speaking out against the War and the hatreds it engendered.
His funeral was attended by thousands of mourners led by the Duchess of Cornwall.
His coffin, draped with a Union Jack, was carried into the 13th century Wells Cathedral 140 miles west of London by soldiers of The Rifles, the successor to Patch’s unit the Duke of Cornwall’s Light Infantry. Honorary pallbearers included 2 from France, 2 from Belgium, and 2 German soldiers in full uniform.
Patch would have heartily approved of the inclusion of the Germans. On the 90th anniversary of the end of the War last November, he attended the remembrance service in London at which his message was “Remember the Germans.”
A German diplomat was a scripture reader at the Anglican service.
It is unfortunate that the service included the Pete Seeger ballad “Where Have All The Flowers Gone?”
A much more appropriate pacifist song would have been Eric Bogle’s “The Green Fields of France” not only because it was written by a Scot but also because it is directed to World War I and is a much better song with more thoughtful lyrics and a better tune.

Given that Bogle’s ballad mocks Wilsonian and British liberal manic fantasies about “War to End War,” it is unsurprising that “The Green Fields of France” is generally unfamiliar to Americans and shunned by American leftists and pacifists. Such lyrics are blasphemies against the liberal establishment’s Holy Trinity of Lincoln, Wilson, and Roosevelt, and American liberals are notoriously intolerant of secular atheists who mock their gods.
Our race has many strengths and many weaknesses.
One of those weaknesses is its love of family quarrels and fights. White Christian Europeans just love to fight each other. It is a sublimated subconscious form of racism, that causes whites to believe that only a victory over a kindred white nation is worthy of pride.
All over Britain today one sees the innumerable monuments commemorating victories over other whites. Almost nowhere does one see a monument commemorating a victory over Sikhs, Hindus, Zulus, etc.
While I am not a pacifist as Patch became, I have to confess that I read history in vain to find any significant war America or any other European nation has fought since the Mexican American War of 1848 that did any good for our race.
Ethnomasochists, however, such as Tom Brokaw with his “Greatest Generation” feel otherwise.
Only wars against whites are good wars.
Globotrash: Mary Robinson and her preferred constituency
A similar example is the former President of the Republic of Ireland Mary Robinson who will be awarded the nation’s highest civilian honor, the Presidential Medal of Freedom, on August 12th.
It is illustrative of the irrelevance of White European Americans in our society that the only objection to bestowing this honor upon Robinson comes from Jewish groups who complain that she showed an “anti-Israel bias” because she did not do enough to shut down anti-Zionist remarks at the UN Anti-racism Conference in Durban, South Africa.
These organizations (Anti-Defamation of B’nai Brith and the American Israel Public Affairs Committee) are not buying Ms. Robinson’s pleas that she did all she could, that she has been a critic of Palestinians and has a life long record of devotion to the fight against anti-Semitism. She did not do enough. Hence, she should not get the prize.
These concerns are being raised by members of the “American” Congress such as Representatives Eliot L. Engel of New York and Shelley Berkley of Nevada.
While even a hint of anti-Zionism might disqualify Robinson from winning America’s Presidential Medal of Freedom, apparently her explicit anti-Americanism does not.

For instance, in September of 1997, both Mary Robinson (in Dublin) and Mexican President Ernesto Zedillo (in Mexico City) marked the 150th anniversary of the end of the Mexican American War by honoring the San Patricio Brigade (”Saint Patrick’s Brigade”), a unit formed by Irish-American deserters who fought for the Mexicans against their former comrades in arms.
At the ceremony President Robinson spoke of standing shoulder to shoulder in solidarity with Mexicans against a common enemy: the Anglo-Saxons of Great Britain and their Anglo relatives in the United States.
Her remarks went almost completely unnoticed by the white-hating American media at the time and are of no concern today now that her “enemies” are in the process of presenting her with the Presidential Medal of Freedom.
The death of the last British soldier in World War I is a time for us to reflect and to resolve that we will do our utmost for what so desperately needs to be done.
Our utmost to foster a sense of our common heritage as European whites who need to remember as our forefathers did in medieval times that there is an overarching shared race and culture of all Europeans that binds us to each other even as we remain separate and proud members of different white nations.
Our utmost to insure that the racial family feuds fanned and exploited by our enemy and by self-loathing whites like Brokaw and Robinson are healed.
Our utmost to refute and put to rest inflammatory lies intended to accentuate and preserve such family feuds.
Our utmost to prevent any more brother wars between our kindred nations.
Let us all resolve and hope that eventually we will cease to endure a dysfunctional white racial family and that we can be members of a normal, functional racial family once more.

Thank you for your long and thoughtful response. It gave me a lot to consider.
I had a feeling sooner or later someone here was going to say something to me.
After a flurry of posts I spent a couple of days thinking about the articles here and elsewhere that I’ve read and about my late night “in the heat” responses. Just when I started to get the feeling that perhaps I ought to tone it down a bit, I realized what that tone of voice spoke to.
Heartbreak.
I’m heartbroken, and I’ve never really let myself say it. But it’s true.
Once I acknowledged that, which was earlier today, I started to feel better.
Also, your post helped me understand another aspect to the sadness I’ve been feeling. It’s that I can envision something better, a world I would want to live in, and I know I don’t like the one we have now, and so, I want the one to go and the other to come – today!
Of course I’m not a silly man and I know that that is just not possible. But it’s understandable that in these times one would arrive sooner or later at a certain stage of overwhelm and get a little mixed up between hopes and realities until they’d have to slow things down a bit and begin to sort them out, so as to make a fresh start.
I feel like that has happened. So reading your post was a great way to end the day.
Really though I am encouraged and grateful for sites like this one.
The fact that I don’t always agree is irrelevant, or rather, in one sense, the source of inspiration, since it gives me the chance to direct my thoughts at actual people instead of myself. It also gives me the change to really think about my ideas instead of merely saying them.
Also, though a certain amount of alienation is necessary, lots of it is difficult, exhausting and dangerous. And alienation, the real kind, not the spurious alienation of the Left which is really merely polarization, is exactly what the Leviathan, as I like to call it, wants for us.
Still, though you are right and we do need to organize more and solidify certain points intellectually so as be able to exhibit more competence and conscious control when we really do take matters into our own hands, reaching out is risky.
I’ve sent messages to Jared Taylor, Peter Brimelow, and Kevin MacDonald and haven’t heard from them. Maybe they are busy. I’ll keep trying.
It’s ok to be sad, it’s ok to be angry. But it’s not ok to stay sad, or stay angry. That’s how the other side lives; and often enough the source of their anger is an illusion or supreme fiction of their own making.
Regardless, we definitely need to talk to each other and reach out, awkward as it might feel at times.

Dedalus – except in some very multiracial American states like California, Arizona, etc., it’s still too soon in the USA to start putting boots on the ground and doing the work of organizing Whites in person…far too many American Whites are still too comfortable and safe in their suburban fantasy-land abodes to begin acting and ‘rocking the boat.’ They consider nearly anyone who tries to wake them up out of their race-blind/Jewish-induced stupor to be “extremists,” “Nazis,” and/or “terrorists” – one should never underestimate the ignorance of the masses of ALL races, that’s for sure.
However, the time for action is coming soon. Right now, on websites like the TOQ and many others, we are forming the social and intellectual ‘vanguard’ that will help to lead Whites to a better future in the coming years as our increasingly multiracial White nations continue to decline due to unsustainable ethnic/racial diversity coupled with socioeconomic domination by hostile Jewish elite(s).
However, before action can begin to be taken we need to clearly articulate and organize amongst ourselves a feasible course of action for the future instead of just anarchically ‘winging it’ as you seem to suggest. Some WNists are unclear if Italians or Russians or Spaniards or whoever else are White or not, and they still argue incessantly about such things. With rather petty bickering like that occurring, how are we then to agree upon other crucial issues of much more importance like the building of a White American ethnostate, solutions to the Jewish Problem, cutting of ALL non-White immigration to White nations, eugenic strategies, fixing the wrecked economy (which means countering Jewish economic domination), increasing White birthrates, and so on? Thus we pro-White elites need to articulate and agree on a clear platform for action in the coming years of ethnic/racial turmoil – and that’s what we are doing here on websites such as this one.
The next 2-3 years will be especially crucial in terms of building the American pro-White movement. By 2011-2012 we should start to build a semi-mainstream sociopolitical organization (similar to the BNP in the UK or Jobbik in Hungary) that will begin working on the ground to organize middle-class/working-class American Whites. What kind of society do we want to live in?
What is it going to look like?
If, by some miracle, we seceed and arive at a new tomorrow and a place to call our own, are we going to wind up with a polarized version of the very thing we’re struggling to get away from?
These are not idle questions, and I don’t wish to be disrespectful in any way.
I’m just frustrated at the lack of attention paid to matters of great concern even by those supposedly dedicated to helping us all out of our current impasse.
Perhaps the best way to show my sincere gratitude for all that TOO has done for us is to use this forum to exercise my right to free speech and ask some of the questions that inevitably come to mind when reading your articles and posts.
As it is I would hate to see us wind up like that group of “Revolutionaries” in Monty Python’s “Life of Brian” who, when confronted by one of their members on the need to act, respond by saying, “Right! This calls for immediate discussion!”
And, though obviously more discussion is necessary, I believe that the times call for a shift in emphasis away from diagnosis and toward more workable solutions in regard to shared purpose, common ground, and sense of unity, among what is unquestionably the most diverse race in the entire species.
A life in vain. For what did Patch fight? What did his actions accomplish? Objectively speaking, other than his personal heroism and other virtues, nothing. His service simply added to the ‘brother wars’ of the 20th C. and as such can not, in my view, be celebrated as anything other than tragic. Suicidal. Perhaps in 100 years our governments will erect similar monuments to white men who fought against the internal enemy, in the coming civil wars of the 21st C. I will not today celebrate white men who fought other whites in decades past, but in later years I will honor white men who fought and defeated our foes: Jews, Americans, Africans, Asians, Muslims.
