We need not just someone willing and able to stand up and proclaim our massive moral superiority, not just a bulldog, but someone who has read enough of history and the history of ideas to automatically be motivated and ready to counter any and all objections. One HUGE problem we face in all such media-circus settings is that we are so right, and the other side is so massively wrong on so many levels, that it is dificult even begin to speak about how wrong they are. We cannot re-educate a nation in 30 or 60 minutes against their 30 or 60 YEARS of being buried under an avalanche of propaganda. We can only seek to look good and confident, then later people might begin to listen. Excellent article. We have NOTHING to apologize for. But that's a little hard to do when the panel and hand-picked audience is there for the sole purpose of attacking you. If you're not willing to give as good as you get and demand equal time, you might as well not participate in such a rigged forum. Griffin gave a good speech at David Duke's Euro conference so he has some ability as a speaker. At the BBC event, he took the opportunity to throw Duke under the bus, for which Duke quickly forgave him. In fact, Duke could have, and has, performed much better for the cause in similar circumstances. Griffin thinks that knocking the real "nazis" (not him) and a hardline against Islam will win him some Jewish converts, but I doubt there will be many. I give Griffin credit for trying hard and trying different things but I agree he could have done better at the BBC set-up.
