All races originated for one central species (currently the African hypothesis) the question is degree. Thousands of years for Ashkenazim in terms of white skin narrow nose bones and cartilage, large body hair, red hair, freckles, eye hypo-pigmentation, etc, could only come from a northern region of the world (i.e. Russia or Europe) Sorry but Ashkenazim look nothing like Sephardim (I know the paper is about genotype not phenotype but they go hand in hand I believe).
