I recently enjoyed an essay by Seneca on the brevity of life:

http://www.fourhourworkweek.com/blog/2009/04/24/on-the-shortness-of-life-an-introduction-to-seneca/

The Stoics were remarkably well developed in their moral philosophy. Unfortunately, there are no functioning communities of Stoics. In a truly hopeless situation, it is the noblest course, but I believe there are alternatives. More on that in the next essay.

I am far from obese, but I liked the line:"One might imagine that an obese, porn-addicted white male might at times reflect on his reality and become a little discouraged, perhaps enough to inspire him to a sort of Stoicism to make life the best it can be among the ruins."

With that in mind, I offer Epictetus of Phrygia.

'Work, therefore to be able to say to every harsh appearance, "You are but an appearance, and not absolutely the thing you appear to be." And then examine it by those rules which you have, and first, and chiefly, by this: whether it concerns the things which are in our own control, or those which are not; and, if it concerns anything not in our control, be prepared to say that it is nothing to you.

2. Remember that following desire promises the attainment of that of which you are desirous; and aversion promises the avoiding that to which you are averse. However, he who fails to obtain the object of his desire is disappointed, and he who incurs the object of his aversion wretched. If, then, you confine your aversion to those objects only which are contrary to the natural use of your faculties, which you have in your own control, you will never incur anything to which you are averse. But if you are averse to sickness, or death, or poverty, you will be wretched. Remove aversion, then, from all things that are not in our control, and transfer it to things contrary to the nature of what is in our control. But, for the present, totally suppress desire: for, if you desire any of the things which are not in your own control, you must necessarily be disappointed; and of those which are, and which it would be laudable to desire, nothing is yet in your possession. Use only the appropriate actions of pursuit and avoidance; and even these lightly, and with gentleness and reservation.

3. With regard to whatever objects give you delight, are useful, or are deeply loved, remember to tell yourself of what general nature they are, beginning from the most insignificant things. If, for example, you are fond of a specific ceramic cup, remind yourself that it is only ceramic cups in general of which you are fond. Then, if it breaks, you will not be disturbed. If you kiss your child, or your wife, say that you only kiss things which are human, and thus you will not be disturbed if either of them dies. '

Thank you for this excellent article, eagerly anticipating the next one.

I also have a shocking revelation, I have been an 'Omega' for a good few years now, without the obesity which I have deduced is down to my alcohol intake, im still relatively skinny and in my Height to Weight ratio but this article and the previous one pointed out the life I am headed towards, I have lost my internet connection on a few occasions and each time was nothing short of torture and instead of doing something productive I re-watched my DVD collection till I could get back on!

Men need and want sex.

Women are too busy denying sex, getting upset for no reason, comparing one man with another, and getting terribly bored when any serious matters arise. The very existence of porn is due to women, not men. And it is not due to the women's wrinkles but women's moodiness (strongly amplified by feminism). Women love to look down on men, preferring some incompetent glittering masquerader. They don't love the strong, honest and also commanding and demanding hard-working men. They are easily bored, controlling, and of course aggravating.

What I want to say is that if the men are victims of Jewish propaganda, women are victims to a greater degree. But games and porn are not helping men.

The only chance is to fight to the end and with a little bit of luck a honest man will be able find a good woman to have his children and have a real family. Only the man should look for a strong and honest woman, not a simulacrum of a Jewish-styled doll.

Great articles, and indeed much needed.

Obesity is also a mass phenomenon extending beyond Omegas:

http://jama.ama-assn.org/cgi/content/full/288/14/1723

"The age-adjusted prevalence of obesity was 30.5% in 1999-2000 compared with 22.9% in NHANES III (1988-1994; P<.001). The prevalence of overweight also increased during this period from 55.9% to 64.5% (P<.001)."

Video games are a mass phenomenon as well. The recent Call of Duty release was a half-billion-dollar hit, dwarfing a blockbuster movie. Unlike a movie the game is $50, and requires days and days of time developing one's "skills" to actually be good enough to enjoy playing.

Similarly, the obesity phenomenon is much too prevalent to be confined to "Omegas" (which I would define as the bottom 10% of the male population):

I think your assumptions about Omegas being the only abusive consumers of porn are mistaken. See stats here:

http://www.safefamilies.org/sfStats.php

Most significantly:

"At a 2003 meeting of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, two thirds of the 350 divorce lawyers who attended said the Internet played a significant role in the divorces in the past year, with excessive interest in online porn contributing to more than half such cases. Pornography had an almost non-existent role in divorce just seven or eight years ago." (Divorcewizards.com)

I do not think that your observations on porn, games and obesity can really be applied to all men rather to a narrow (but sadly increasing) subset of White Man who have essentially dropped out from society. (I'll call these the Omegas)

You also seem to be implying that it is the temptations of these supernormal stimuli that pull men away from their traditional goals to be good providers, husbands and fathers. In the case of porn, men are too busy watching the latest 'Debbie does Dallas' DVD to bother chasing the girl next door, with which he could have a satisfactory sex life within the context of marriage and family.

I'm certain that Omega man would rather have real sex with a wife who was a 5 on the hotness scale than masterbate over a 10 on a porn video. If he had to choose between the two I'd bet he'd bin the porno and sever the internet connection in a heartbeat. 60 years ago for an Omega pinning a 5 down with marriage was hard work and far from assured but still realistically possible. The bitter truth however is that in this day and age is that Omega man has no prospects. Porn and Video games are not pulling him away from the good life he would otherwise have had but poor substitutions for the things he craves in real life - sex and status. Since he has no realistic hope of ever obtaining these things he retreats into his fantasy world of porn and online gaming whilst piling on the pounds with their junk food.

If we took away from these pathetic creatures their porn, videogames and junk food we wouldn't generate a revolutionary consciousness but just add to the sum total of their misery.

'yet another set of false fitness signals to quell his discontent.

In the next installment we will cover this and my thoughts on how to live a life resisting these temptations in the late, great dystopic American empire.'

I very much look forward to the next installment, but I note that the problem is global. Japan, which I admire in many respects, is addicted to false fitness signals as well. The intellectual problem of how to correct false fitness signals - or perhaps I should start using the term "supernormal stimuli" - might demand another intellect equal to that of MacDonald.

Thank you for the technical term. Yes, I believe we need more writings on how to live, practically, in our troubled times. Your sense of isolation as you pursue "real life" activities highlights a point in the next article: a human life requires a community. You have to find a community of living people, a tribe of sorts, among the living dead of our times.

This trilogy of articles is exactly what we need to be focusing on, both as subject matter for writing and in our very lives.

Your term "false signals," is called SUPERNORMAL STIMULI in psychology. Junk food, porn, video-games, and for that matter, motorized recreational vehicles are all supernormal stimuli that out-shout real food, real relationships, and real life.

Besides income producing work, which takes up an inordinate amount of time, my own life consists of vegetable gardening, playing violin, studying foreign languages, and exercise. Most of the time I do these as solitary activities, but there are two groups I occasionally work with -- elderly White people, and Chinese. White people my age and younger are not bothering with this stuff. It's a damn shame. I can only hope that the economy tanks so much that people can't afford to piss away their lives on SUPERNORMAL STIMULI.

It all starts with child raising. I have one child, and her access to mass media has always been severely restricted. As a result, she has a variety of normal, real-life interests and ambitions.

I have always said that the source of our problems is not terribly complex, and it's a mistake to "overthink" them. People are very apathetic and lethargic as a result of a lifetime of marinating in supernormal stimuli.

When I first got involved in White ethnic activism, I wondered if people didn't care about their race but did care about other things, or didn't care about their race because they don't care about anything. I found that it is the latter -- people don't care about anything.

This is good news. When Whites start caring about the world around them again (if they do) then it is natural that they will start caring about their race again as well.

When I first got involved in White ethnic activism, I wondered if people didn’t care about their race but did care about other things, or didn’t care about their race because they don’t care about anything. I found that it is the latter — people don’t care about anything.

This is good news. When Whites start caring about the world around them again (if they do) then it is natural that they will start caring about their race again as well.

Another legacy of Jewish influence besides the pornography you mention is feminism -- the most notable figures in which we see Jewish names once again. Betty Friedan who wrote The Feminine Mystique, and Gloria Steinem who founded MS Magazine and said that a woman needs a man like a "fish needs a bicycle"... are 2 that spring to mind. The main common theme in all Jewish cultural behavior is extreme selfishness / narcissism and disregard for others while destroying every place in culture they see as a strength in host countries.
