If the writers for TOQ were explaining why they are writing some time ago, I was asking myself why I was reading after all.

Few things discouraged me lately, but happily always such a bright piece appears and keeps me coming back. Extremely informative, logical, captivating; all the joys of reading.

I agree with Jim above, though it’s not so much for the piece’s thoroughness alone, as its amazing combination of completeness and conciseness. (You can be thorough and much more long-winded, in other words.) This piece was a complete dazzler. Brilliant, white-hot — one could rattle off the superlatives one-by-one.

I had only minor disagreements — in regard to portions of his characterization of Ronald Reagan.

Stuff like this piece, the Herve Ryssen stuff, and tons of others published here is what has made this site one of the best anywhere.

I am no expert on Leo Strauss, but his interpretation of classical texts was very esoteric and questionable. My own impression of his followers was that they were very modern, amoral, and Machiavellian–certainly not pre-modern traditionalists in any recognizably Western form.

Truly pre-modern worldviews can be found among the Amish, FLDS, very orthodox Jews, and traditionalist Catholics. What they have in common is a fundamentally religious worldview. In contrast to moderns, they believe that natural hierarchies, human nature, and moral law are divinely instituted and inviolable. At least in its Catholic form, anti-modernism is not anti-science, but it does put limits on how science may be used. (i.e. modern medicine is fine; but abortion and euthanasia are prohibited).

Likewise, for a traditional Catholic, authority is subject to God like anything else, and if misused becomes tyrannical and subject to challenge. For example, Pope Benedict has harshly attacked EU mandated “human rights” laws that interfere with parents’ natural authority to educate their children. The Pope has made at least as much trouble for the EU as have the far right parties, and I suspect this is why the press has been attacking him so viciously.

The “Nation of Israel” is being dismantled, most notably by the passive-aggressives of the political Left. Present trends continue the children of Hasids will be taken from them to be introduced to diversity (for their own good of course) in a generation or two. This is a great summation by the author, but he lacked clarity with his description of “jewish hegemony”, it is called ….. Genocide and unfortunately it is our race’s genocide.

An insightful piece, and clarified connections between many Jewish phenomena, connections I was not aware of. One problem: Hocking’s idea that organized Jewry created neo-conservatism “in order to preserve America as a viable host”. While this is an attractive, almost biological notion, it gives way too much credit to these collective conspirators who are perhaps not all that prescient. I think this was more a matter of “Well, we’ve got a financial and ideological lock on the Democrats, so let’s consolidate our grip on power by getting hold of the Republican Party as well”. This the Jews have now accomplished in spades and as a result national elections have become essentially meaningless: with the basic policy lines – wide open borders immigration aimed at importing socialism while rendering whites a shrinking minority, “free trade” aimed at economically destroying the (white) middle class and further enriching the corporate/Wall St. Jewish rich, monster debt to finance the welfare state hand-outs that control the burgeoning black-brown population, and multiple, open-ended wars aimed at Israelite security – now locked firmly in place. But these very policies are in fact killing the host, with only two possible outcomes, neither which is going to be pleasant for the parasite. One, the host dies and the parasite dies with it; or Two, the host eventually produces a powerful, violent antibody that also destroys the parasite. Perhaps the Jews think, like a flea jumping from a dieing animal to a healthier one, they can seize global power even as America rots and collapses. If so, they have badly mis-timed the situation. On the one hand, they are nowhere near successful globalization – in fact, witness Putin’s defeat of the Jewish oligarchs in Russia and the current problems of the EU, events are trending in the opposite direction – and on the other, America is already beginning to generate strong antibodies to the Zionist disease.
