			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><img class="alignright size-medium wp-image-9184" title="paranormal" src="http://www.toqonline.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/paranormal-202x300.jpg" alt="paranormal" width="202" height="300" />I recently watched the 2009 film, <em>Paranormal Activity</em>. This is a haunted house horror film that employs a hyperrealist approach reminiscent of <em>The Blair Witch Project</em>, where the actors do their own filming using a digital video camera, the acting is virtually improvised, and the result is presented as “found footage.”</p><p>The story is simple: a twenty-something suburban couple, Micah and Katie, he a day trader, she a university student, both White, middle class, and American, encounter evidence of nocturnal paranormal activity in their house, which Micah sets out to document; the situation grows progressively worse and eventually climaxes at the end of the film.</p><p>The latter employs a number of familiar tactics.</p><p>Firstly, it has extraordinary events befall perfectly ordinary folk, and seeks, therefore, to augment its affrighting potential by making it easy for the audience to identify with the characters.</p><p>Secondly, it has the male protagonist not take the paranormal threat very seriously, while the female protagonist descends into hysterics.</p><p>And thirdly, it has the activity escalate in an algorithmic crescendo, slowly at first, rapidly at the end: said activity is not only minor and relatively harmless during most of the film, but it is never witnessed directly by the protagonists until the final chapters; for the most part, the activity takes place while the characters sleep, with its discovery posthumous and mediated by a digital recording.</p><p>What interested me about the film, however, was not so much the technique but how it related to the characters, particularly where whiteness and gender roles and representation intersect in modern American cinema.</p><p>Evidently, if we are watching a horror film and if the protagonists are meant to be young and nothing special, we would be wrong to expect them to display great wisdom or superior intelligence. Yet, precisely because they are meant to be nothing special, it is shocking to deduce what their characterisation says about the Ronald Reagan generation.</p><p>The viewer will notice, for example, that, although the couple lives together, they are neither engaged nor have plans to marry. Having been together for three years, one would imagine that they know each other well enough by now to be able to ascertain whether their relationship is going anywhere; but, instead, it seems they are content with the <em>status quo</em>, neither party willing to commit to anything, leaving their options open, and, by implication, merely staving off loneliness until they get bored or someone better comes along.</p><p>This is the normal state of affairs these days, and, I will concede, one not without advantages: after all, the good old days whose passing so many nostalgic Right wingers like to lament had its fair crop of unhappy marriages and life partnership is a serious commitment where mistakes can be enormously costly in more than one sense.</p><p>All the same, open-ended arrangements like that of Micah and Katie bear the seeds of dysfunction and are symptomatic of the disintegration of the Western family structure. An ex-girlfriend of mine from my university days found herself in an analogous relationship, only to discover, after nine long years, that the gentleman in question was unwilling to marry her. By this time she was well into her thirties, not an easy age for anybody to find fresh new partners or start a new relationship from scratch. She was eventually successful, however, and recently married, but she is now over 40 and a healthy conception, if at all possible, will be considerably more difficult – women over 40 are more likely to conceive a child with genetic defects, such as Down syndrome.</p><p>The speculation one can make from watching the film is that, perhaps, culpability for the absence of a marriage proposal lies with Micah. This gentleman is good at making money from buying and selling shares on his computer, but he persistently exhibits an irritating lack of maturity and an inability to assume responsibility and keep promises.</p><p>Early in the film the couple is advised by an expert in the paranormal not to get a Ouija board or attempt communication with, let alone bait or antagonize, the demon. He, in fact, recommends referring the matter to a demonologist. What does Micah do? Too wrapped up amusing himself recording ‘cool’ paranormal events to think of consequences, gets the Ouija board, attempts to communicate, bait, and antagonize the demon, and scorns the suggestion to call the demonologist, despite mounting evidence to its advisability. When confronted about the Ouija board, which his girlfriend had made him promise not to buy, Micah’s smirking response is exactly what we would expect from his type: “I didn’t buy it. I borrowed it!”</p><p>Micah’s puerility is compounded by a weak and half-developed sense of masculinity; his reactions are consistently adolescent, he allows himself to be shaped by events, and he even permits Katie to treat him like a child. That he does is nor surprising, given his lack of seriousness, bemused flaccidity, and fainéant laggadliness, which inspire nothing but contempt.</p><p>When, by dint of sniping sarcasm and scornful skepticism, he is finally embarrassed into adopting a more assertive approach, his performance is juvenile and pathetic: “Nobody comes into my house . . . <em>fucks</em> with my girlfriend . . . and gets away with it,” “I am taking care of this . . . this is my house, you’re my girlfriend . . . I’m gonna <em>fucking</em> solve the problem. OK?” Yea, right. Whatever.</p><p>Whatever Micah’s shortcomings as a White, heterosexual male, the fact is that he deserves his girlfriend. She is bossy and, as is routine in modern American film and television, incapable of having an argument with her partner without gratuitous sarcasm and derogatory shots at his masculinity. She also shouts, bellows, and dresses in a most unfeminine manner, favoring informal, thick, cotton wear that often conceals rather than emphasizes her feminine curves. This latter point might be unfair, as the filming takes place during evenings and mornings and it is common for people, even sartorially relaxed university students, to change into comfortable clothes while at home. All the same, it is easy to imagine Katie either tarted up for a boozy evening at the nightclub or in sneakers, t-shirts, and jeans or jogging suits, with little variety in between; while at university in the late 1980s and early 1990s I came across hundreds of Katies, so her character conforms to a common American type.</p><p>As to the house inhabited by this irksome couple, it is well worth noticing, as it tells us as much about them as it does about contemporary American culture. Firstly, the viewer will observe that there is <em>not a single book in the whole house</em> – not one, except for a copy of one of Wiley’s For Dummies manuals and a handful of college textbooks hidden away on a low-lying shelf. As an English Literature major, it is clear that Katie scrapes by with the textbooks alone: no genuine lover of literature here. And when Micah decides to do some research to better understand the haunting, we find him leafing lazily through a copy of Ernst and Johanna Lehner’s <em>Devils, Demons, and Witchcraft</em>, which is little more than a picture book. At the same time, the viewer will also observe that the shelves in the lounge hold hundreds DVDs: this is, then, the sole source of culture for this college-educated couple.</p><p>Indeed, their lounge is dominated by – oh, yes – a monstrous television set several parsecs across and massive enough to form a steep gravitational well. One wonders why the sofas are not in orbit around this monstrosity. Television is so important to this couple that they are not above sacrificing natural daylight in order for the television set to constitute the epicenter of stimuli in the area: the black jumbo set blocks the front window almost entirely, and (presumably to avoid tempting burglars) the blinds to this window are kept permanently shut.</p><p>Is it any surprise, then, that their dialogue is so exasperatingly brainless? Admittedly, they are not as dumb and inarticulate as the characters in <em>The Blair Witch Project</em>, who could barely string a sentence together, and who lacked words to name even basic objects or concepts; but, even so, Micah and Katie are somniferously superficial and have nothing interesting to say. I imagine one’s frontal lobes would rapidly necrotize and liquefy after a few weeks in their company.</p><p>On the second floor we encounter another anomalous feature. The three-bedroom house has… three double bedrooms. One is theirs; the other two are unused guestrooms. Now, for a house inhabited by a lonely couple with no plans to marry and, as far as one can see, no plans to reproduce anytime soon, this creates the impression of their having more space than their impoverished imaginations allow them to fill. Could it be that they have an active social life and frequently entertain visitor friends? There is little indication that this is the case: the film records their activities over a period of several weeks and, during this time, we find Micah never talks to anyone but his girlfriend, while Katie is visited by only one friend, a patronizing tubular female with no conversation.</p><p><img class="alignright size-full wp-image-9185" title="oren peli" src="http://www.toqonline.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/oren-peli.jpg" alt="oren peli" width="245" height="270" />When we consider that <em>Paranormal Activity</em> was written and directed by one Oren Peli, a 39-year-old Israeli-born film director and screenwriter, his instincts with regards to what constitutes an ordinary White American couple is revealing because they are those of an outsider: the White Americans in this film are uncultured philistines, infantile, spoilt, obdurate, bickering morons incapable of learning from experience, let alone anything profound or useful; they are, put a different way, like oversized children, with too much time, too big an allowance, and really nothing to do. They are parochial, ovine consumers, serving time with no sense of purpose or direction, completely oblivious of the world outside the confines of their feckless existence, and for whom life is simply a succession of unconnected moments, wiled away meaninglessly in search for endless entertainment and fun. </p><p>Peli is not alone pumping out similarly negative portrayals of White American youth; I am reminded of the vile Eli Roth and the latter’s <em>Cabin Fever</em>, another horror film featuring cognitively deficient all-White university students.</p><p>The sad aspect of these films is that, because viewers consume them passively as entertainment, the sheer persistence of the attitudes and interpersonal dynamics therein presented act eventually to normalize them. I have seen enough of them reproduced in real life to wonder about the degree to what ordinary people take their cues from modern American cinema when faced with unstructured social situations. Even though most realise that the scenarios presented are fictional, fantastical, stupid, or impossible, American cinema’s influence as a model of social interaction ought not to be underestimated.</p><p>To better suspend disbelief, fiction imitates life. But in postmodernity, in the age of ubiquitous information and mass communications, life is known to imitate fiction, with the result that fiction imitates life that imitates fiction that imitates life imitating fiction. Distortions – because the imitations are two dimensional – are introduced into every revolution. Round and round they go, the distortion growing ever larger until they acquire a life of their own. The medium is the message, as the saying goes.</p><p>Without cinema able effectively and entertainingly to challenge Peli’s and Roth’s and their ilk’s message, without a different voice providing an alternative narrative, theirs becomes the cultural default, the dominant paradigm and archetype. The main premise of <em>Paranormal Activity</em> is entertaining enough, even for a complete skeptic, but it needs to be told by a less contemptuous narrator.</p>]]></content:encoded>

Dahi Khalfan Tamim, Chief of the Dubai Police Force—ultimately the key figure in this mystery.</p><p>Previously Tamim&#8217;s force had solved the high-profile 2007 &#8220;<a target="_blank" href="http://www.interpol.int/Public/ICPO/PressReleases/PR2008/flashPR200858/flashPR200858Dubai.html">Pink Panther&#8221; jewelry robbery</a> in Wafi  City (the &#8220;Pink Panthers&#8221; is a gang of international jewel thieves), the murder of Lebanese singer <a target="_blank" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Suzanne_Tamim">Suzanne Tamim</a> in 2008, and the murder a few months later of former Chechen General Sulim B. Yamadayev.</p><p>Without Tamim, the massive investigation into Mabhouh&#8217;s death would not have taken place. The evidence needed to solve the case and expose the killers would never have been meticulously gathered, collated, and presented to the world for all to see. Teams were assigned to investigate, and within 24 hours of the body&#8217;s discovery police had begun tracing the killers&#8217; identities. It is difficult to imagine another police chief anywhere in the world building such a damning public case against these particular killers.</p><p>Dubai police quickly discovered that the assassins had left clues: hotel, passport, phone, credit card, and transportation records; fingerprints and DNA evidence; and their recorded presence on incriminating CCTV (closed-circuit television) surveillance camera storage media.</p><p>&#8220;This assassination has given us a window into Mossad&#8217;s world and the way they operate,&#8221; Tamim later said. &#8220;We have learned more about their techniques, the disguises they use and their methods of spying.&#8221;</p><p><strong>The CCTV Trail</strong></p><p>Although Mossad was &#8220;very much aware of the CCTV in Dubai,&#8221; according to a well-informed Israeli source quoted by the London <em>Times</em>, it was &#8220;astonished at the ability of the Dubai police to reconstruct and assemble all the images into one account.&#8221;</p><p>Below are links to the complete 27 minutes of composite CCTV footage released by Dubai police to the international press. The clips appear to be the only ones online containing the government&#8217;s entire composite account of the affair. (A few western media outlets ran brief outtakes ranging from a few seconds to a minute or two in length.)</p><p>The original footage was supplied by the Media Office of the Dubai Government and posted by <em>Gulf News</em> to its website. <em>Gulf News</em> is a Dubai-based English language newspaper.</p><p>The important 27-minute segment (in 3 parts) tracing the arrival of the killers and their movements inside the hotel is from YouTube (the only place I was able to locate it), via a website called &#8220;Dubaisession.&#8221; Dubaisession&#8217;s clips were originally taken from <em>Gulf News</em>. If the same footage is still available on <em>Gulf News&#8217;</em> site, it would be preferable to link to that.</p><p>Subsequently, police released a fourth, supplemental, clip (&#8220;Part 4&#8243; below) with information about additional suspects. Unlike the first three clips, the Dubaisession-YouTube clip of Part 4 can be directly compared to the <em>Gulf News</em> original from which it was derived, because the latter is still available at <a target="_blank" href="http://gulfnews.com/">gulfnews.com</a>.</p><p>The two clips are not identical. The difference in intelligibility is marked. The <em>Gulf News</em> audio track has an Arab narrator, with full English subtitles. These features are missing entirely from the YouTube-hosted footage, severely diluting its value. Nothing about the killers or their official documents was recognizably Jewish or Israeli.</p><p>&#8220;They were <em>not</em> fake passports,&#8221; veteran English foreign correspondent <a target="_blank" href="http://english.aljazeera.net/programmes/rizkhan/2010/02/20102228139605416.html">Robert Fisk</a> noted. &#8220;They were real passports with fake names and pictures. The question is: Who provided the documents, the actual passports, to the Israelis? Were they stolen? Were they bought? Or was someone in the European security services saying, &#8216;Well, look, I know you need twelve passports. This is in return for information you gave us last week.&#8217; Have the security and intelligence forces of the EU and other western governments gotten so close to Israeli security and intelligence forces that they&#8217;re actually handing over to them official documents that can be used in dark operations?&#8221;</p><p><strong>Credit Cards</strong></p><p>Team coordinator &#8220;Peter Elvinger&#8217;s&#8221; credit card was issued by DZ Bank of Frankfurt,  Germany. One credit card was issued by Nationwide (UK) and two by UK-registered IDT Finance of Gibraltar.</p><p>Fourteen prepaid MasterCards used to pay for plane tickets and hotel rooms were traced to Storm   Lake, Iowa&#8217;s MetaBank. The cards had been issued by MetaBank&#8217;s partner, New York City-based Payoneer, which has an R&amp;D office in Tel Aviv, where Mossad headquarters is located. According to a report in <em>Gulf News</em>, Payoneer&#8217;s financiers, including Carmel Ventures and Crossbar Partners, have ties to Israel. Tamim stressed that the dual nationals who claim their passport identities were stolen and used by the assassins were not necessarily victims: &#8220;They could be potential collaborators.&#8221;</p><p>He also announced that Dubai immigration officers would undergo intensive training to study Jewish people and identify their traits, accents, body language, and manners.</p><div id="attachment_8973" class="wp-caption alignright" style="width: 270px"><img class="size-medium wp-image-8973 " title="one-shot-two-kills" src="http://www.toqonline.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/one-shot-two-kills-260x300.jpg" alt="Jews: Morally Different People" width="260" height="300" /><p class="wp-caption-text">Jews: The Morally Different People (T-shirt boasting of killing pregnant Palestinian woman)</p></div><p><strong>Above the Law</strong></p><p>Jews reacted with jubilation to the news of the assassination.</p><p>They printed T-shirts boasting of the deed.</p><p>Israeli TV ads celebrating the murder were filmed in time for Passover at the end of March 2010—the Jewish holiday that commemorates the slaughter of the first-born children of Egypt.</p><p>The Cleveland, Ohio <em>Jewish News</em> exulted, &#8220;Murder in Dubai a job well done.&#8221;</p><p>Within less than a month of Tamim&#8217;s revelations, a global curtain of silence descended. The killing vanished completely from the headlines. There was no scandal, no outrage, no protests, no condemnatory media exposes—nothing.</p><p>Two arrests were made. Both suspects were Palestinians, alleged Israeli collaborators who provided logistical support to the death squad.</p><p>The rest of the murderers &#8220;will likely find themselves stuck at desk jobs at Mossad headquarters north of Tel Aviv for a while,&#8221; two Jewish &#8220;journalists&#8221; with ties to the Mossad write. &#8220;But eventually, they’ll return to missions in the field. As professionals, they’ll make sure to change their appearances and cover stories yet again.&#8221;</p><p><strong>Conclusion</strong></p><p>Dubai requires international assistance in its investigation if it is to have any hope of apprehending the killers.</p><p>The assassins were caught dead to rights. Locating and convicting them is not the problem; the evidence is there. But the governments that sent Ernst Zündel, Germar Rudolf, David Irving, and countless others to prison for their speech have done nothing and will do nothing in this case because the killers are Jews.<a href="#_ftn2">[2]</a></p><p>&#8220;Israel will get away with this&#8221; Robert Fisk said. &#8220;There&#8217;s no doubt. 			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I receive “American Hunter”, a monthly publication of the NRA (along with “American Rifleman”, which is much of the same editorial material).  Its political writer is one Chris W. Cox, executive director of the NRA’s <a target="_blank" href="http://www.nraila.org/">lobbying arm</a>.  Cox does a pretty thorough job of reporting the details of anti-gun efforts in the United States, and his most <a target="_blank" href="http://www.nrapublications.org/oj/index.html">recent target</a> is Michael Bloomberg, mayor of New York City.  I can’t seem to find a web version (send me an e-mail if you find a link), but the special report in the April 2010 issue is headlined “Bloomberg to Obama:  Take ‘Federal Action’ on Guns”.  He emphasizes that Bloomberg is putting his own enormous wealth behind the agenda for firearm restrictions.  Nowhere, of course, does Cox mention that Bloomberg (or Frank Lautenberg, or Frank Luntz, or any of his allies) is Jewish.  (Amusingly, the illustration in “American Rifleman” shows a puppetmaster Bloomberg pulling the strings on various federal officials — the puppetmaster is a recurring illustrative theme of Jewish power.)  But the ethnic motivations here are too overwhelming not to mention.  Bloomberg, like many Jews, views guns as the nasty tools wielded by potentially anti-Semitic whites, who must be divested of this irrational vestige of white power.  That’s what makes him a “man possessed”, as Cox puts it.  Meanwhile, I attribute much of the force behind the gun rights movement to implicit whiteness.  Conservative, male and/or rural whites have had pretty much everything else stripped away from them, and hanging on to guns is a way for them to channel frustration and “make a last stand.”  So far, it’s worked.  A white man can be as full-throated as he wants on the gun issue, and nobody can call him a “racist.”  I don’t really see any other explanation.  The truth is that guns are inanimate objects, and I don’t see much danger of hunting rifles being banned.  In an all-white society, some sort of restriction on firearms probably wouldn’t be seen as controversial.  There would not, for instance, be the need for a handgun in case a black home invader broke in.  It’s the race issue that motivates the gun issue.  The racial and ethnic conflicts that we aren’t allowed to hash out directly are instead channeled into a proxy war:  rich and powerful Jews on the one side, conservative whites on the other. Why another? Haven’t you said all there is to say?</p><p><strong>Hervé Ryssen</strong>: I thought so too! But Judaism is a very closed world, very secret, thus after all these years of study, one still learns new things. This time, I explored the criminal world operating within the international Jewish community, and what one discovers there is, strictly speaking, incredible. The fact is that the Jewish Mafia is the main Mafia that exists today on this planet: racketeering, prostitution, drug trafficking, arms trading, contraband diamond smuggling, traffic in works of art, murder for hire, organized swindles, armed robberies, etc. Pornography, casinos, and discotheques are also largely held by Jewish gangsters.</p><p><strong><em>R&amp;A</em>:</strong> You claim that international drug trafficking is mainly in the hands of the Jewish Mafia. Are you quite certain you are not overstating your case?</p><p><strong>H. R.</strong>: I do not claim that the Jewish mafia controls most of the international illegal drug trade, since there are no statistics on the subject, but it does not appear incredible to me, judging by all information I could gather. The fact is that from the Chinese opium traffic of the nineteenth century to the present day, this mafia has been quite active in this field. In the traffic of ecstasy, one can say for certain that the Jewish mafia holds a monopoly. Today, ecstasy is the drug that is most harmful to European young people. A pill of ecstasy gives a feeling of strength and well-being for a few hours, but it is above all a veritable chemical garbage bin. Its long-term effects are alarming because irreversible: memory loss; behavioral, sleep, and concentration problems; brain lesions in the children of druggie mother. The premier producer is Holland, but the big traffickers who were arrested ten years ago in France, Belgium, the United  States, or Australia, all have Israeli passports. The business of ecstasy is 100% in the hands of Jewish gangsters, not all of whom come from Russia, since there are Sephardic traffickers as well. If you buy a pill of ecstasy, in every instance, you can be certain you are financing the Jewish mafia. Certain big ecstasy traffickers are also deeply involved in the heroin and cocaine trade.</p><p><em>R&amp;A</em>: Is the Jewish mafia connected with the famous Colombian drug cartels?</p><p><strong>H. R.</strong>: There is no doubt. Here is just one example: on February 16th, 1993, the Russian police of Viborg, close to the Russo-Finnish border, near Saint Petersburg, seized more than a ton of Colombian cocaine disguised as cans of corned beef. It was an Israeli resident in Bogota, Elias Cohen, married to a Colombian in cahoots with one of the clans related to the Cali cartel, who managed the network along with one Yuval Shemesh. The final destination of the cocaine was a group of Israeli traffickers established in the Netherlands, headed by one Jacob Korakin, a kippa-wearing religious Jew from the diamond district of Antwerp.</p><p><strong><em>R&amp;A</em>:</strong> Certain diamond traders of Antwerp, New York, and Tel-Aviv play a large role in the Jewish mafia, particularly in money laundering.</p><p><strong>H. R.</strong>: Diamond traders are at the heart of money-laundering operations for the Colombian cartels. In Manhattan, 47th Street, which is the heart of their activity, is also the largest drug money laundry. A Rabbi Yosef Crozer was arrested in February 1990 while going to Brooklyn with suitcases and bags stuffed with small-denomination banknotes. He carried $300,000 every day. His co-operation with police made it possible the following month to arrest around 30 people in the Orthodox Jewish community. One of them was Avraham Sharir, another pious Jew who owned a gold shop on 47th Street and who proved to be one of the key characters in drug money laundering in New York. Sharir, an Israeli citizen of 45 years, confessed to laundering $200 million on behalf of the Cali cartel. His employees, who counted banknotes, were regularly obliged to go our for fresh air, because so many of the small bills had been rolled for use in snorting cocaine.</p><p><strong><em>R&amp;A</em>:</strong> Certain religious Jews do not seem to have too many scruples, one might say . . .</p><p><strong>H. R</strong><strong>.</strong>: Even Hassidic Jews are deeply implicated in drug trafficking. In 2001, the police broke up a ring directed by Sean Erez, a Hassidic Jew who trafficked in ecstasy. The drug had been smuggled in the hats and prayer scrolls of these pious Jews, whom customs officers were not supposed to suspect.</p><p>In July 1998, the small diamond cutting community of Antwerp was strongly shaken by a series of arrests of Lubavitchers. It had been discovered that the diamond business in the Flemish city was a cover for the international heroin traffic. Fifteen kilos had been seized. An Orthodox Jew, Dror Hazenfratz, was the head of the network. Born in Haïfa, Hazenfratz had an Israeli passport as well as a Belgian identity card. Before the court, he appeared in traditional black garb—caftan, cap, and curls—which did not prevent him from being condemned to eleven years in prison. There are many other examples.</p><p><strong><em>R&amp;A</em>:</strong> You go back to the “American” gangsters of the Thirties . . .</p><p><strong>H. R.</strong>: Yes, I was also interested in these mythical gangsters who had worked with the Sicilian mafia. The Jewish gangsters were particularly involved in “Murder Incorporated,” a kind of mutual insurance company of assassination thanks to which a local leader could profit from the services of killers coming from another locality and thus avoid blame. Murder Incorporated was a gang made up of mainly Jewish gangsters, who took care of the crime syndicate’s dirty work. It is estimated that from 1933 to 1940 the organization was responsible of more than 700 assassinations, but some speak of 2000. Because firearms are too easily traceable, they preferred to kill their victims with drowning, knives, bats, piano wire, and especially ice picks. All this is also part of the history of the Jewish people.</p><p><strong><em>R&amp;A</em>:</strong> Why don’t people talk about this?</p><p><strong>H. R.</strong>: It is always the famous reflex of “projection” about which I spoke in my two preceding books. Jewish intellectuals always project on others that about which they feel guilty. They say they were victims of Communism, for example, when in fact they were the main instigators. In the same way, Freud projected a problem specific to the Jewish people—rampant incest—on a universal level, and everyone fell into the trap.</p><p>In the 1990s, the media spoke about the terrible “Russian Mafia.” But truth to tell, all the “Russian” gangsters who were arrested had Israeli passports. The biggest one, Semion Mogilevitch, a major trafficker of weapons who also prostituted hundreds of Russian and Ukrainian girls in Prague and Budapest, was stopped in Moscow in January 2008. In France, the <em>Courrierinternational</em> was the only newspaper that reported it, but obviously his Jewishness was not mentioned: he was “Russian”!</p><p>Likewise, in Hollywood cinema, the drug traffickers, gangsters, “bad guys,” if they are not Sicilian, are very often Nordic white men: never Jews! The following <em>Maariv</em> piece isn’t concerned with Al Qa’eda, but rather with the devastation the Israelis left behind.</p><p>This is the story of a beautiful Israeli hotel on the African seashore. It is the story of an Israeli owned holiday resort in Mombassa, Kenya, designed and built solely for the Israeli tourist market. It is also the story of total abuse of the local impoverished population. It is a tale of humiliation, cruelty and continuous daily rape of struggling African women. It is the usual horrendous story of Israelis inflicting pain on others but at times it is very funny in spite of itself. For instance, once a week, when the Israeli groups were departing in busses on their way back to the Mombassa terminal, the local crew ordered the African staff to chase their departing busses with tears in their eyes and to scream ‘please don’t leave us, we love you, please come back’. This bizarre instruction was given to the local crew by the Israeli hotel management as part of the package deal, the last image to bring home of an unforgettable holiday. I allow myself to assume that the Israeli managers detected some clear yearning for love amongst their Israeli clients. One may ask what may stand in the core of such a longing for declarations of love. Considering the clear fact that those Israeli tourists were mainly engaged in turning Mombassa into Hell on earth, why do they really need to feel beloved after all that? I wonder why the Israeli offender insists upon being loved by his victim? Ordinary human beings do not expect to be loved by their hotel receptionists or room cleaners. But then, ordinary human beings do not tend to humiliate, abuse and rape hotel staff. They may spend some time in the hotel, they may enjoy its services and then they just pay and leave politely and quietly. For the Israeli tourists, as you will soon read, staying in the hotel is a clear ‘letting go’. It is the ideal environment to manifest one’s darkest libidinal impetus and practice total denial of any moral conduct. For the Israeli tourist, holiday is the materialisation and embodiment of their control zeal. For the Israelis, as you will read shortly, to go to for a holiday in Africa is to experience the varied possibilities of becoming a very wild animal.</p><p>The following journalistic piece is a glimpse into some Israeli pathological psychotic conditions. It is a bizarre story of an absurd criminal identity that demands affection from its victims. The story wasn’t written by myself, I just translated it into English. It originally appeared only in Hebrew in Maariv, Israel’s 2nd biggest daily paper. I spent time translating it because I do believe that is rather crucial to permit people outside of Israel a better understanding of the Israeli character and characteristics. Seemingly, some amongst us tend to believe that the Israeli approach towards the Palestinians is the outcome of specific colonial circumstances. Apparently, they are wrong. Israeliness is a radical form of blind cruelty and the Israelis have no problem taking it with them wherever they go. In Palestine it would be the Palestinians who suffer, in Goa it is the poor Indians. In the following story it is the deprived labour force of Mombassa, Kenya who confronts Israeli sadism. There is an old and famous saying, ‘you can take the man out of Israel but you can never take Israel out of the man’. You may want to take a nice deep breath before you read what the men of Israel are up to.</p><p><strong>&#8220;Fear and Contempt in Heaven&#8221;</strong><br />Omri Hasenheim, Kenya<br />14.10.2005<br /><a target="_blank" href="http://www.nrg.co.il/online/1/ART/995/971.html">http://www.nrg.co.il/online/1/ART/995/971.html</a></p><p>In hotel Paradise Mombassa, crew members were humiliated by the Israeli tourists. It’s no surprise that even after the 2002 terror attack on the hotel, they refuse to forgive, not Al-Qa’eda but rather us (the Israelis).</p><p>It is standing on the white sand that is apparently more beautiful than ever. The luxury buildings invite you for a ‘dream of a break’, the rooms and the suites are loaded with exceptional handmade wooden furniture. In between the restored buildings you find a stream with golden fishes. At the bar you can hear the echo of some laidback African beat. All around the gigantic swimming pool you can see many monkeys jumping around. From the dining room windows you can see the magnificent sea-view. On your way to the dining room you may want to visit the alligator pool, clearly the alligator grew a bit since that horrible day of terror.</p><p><strong>Welcome to Heaven, Hotel ‘Paradise Mombassa’</strong></p><p>At just a kilometre from there, in a Msomrini village, two orphan girls are making dreadlocks for each other. Not far behind them, an isolated miserable mud shed is standing, all around poorly clothed toddlers are playing. They are dirty, their noses are dripping. A few broken stools are spread around. On one of them, Dama Safaria is sitting. Before Al Qa’eda blew up the very little she had, she used to work as a dancer at the hotel. For two years she danced traditional African folk dances, something that helped her to forget the misery she was born into. In Msomrini, everyone was happy to dance for just $2 a day. In the beginning Dama was rather happy, but then, as time went by, the Israeli employers realised that they could probably get away without paying. After the performances, her husband used to march from the village to the hotel to beg for her wages. “We loved to dance for the Israelis,” says Dama, “but then once the payment day arrived our smiles would fade away.”</p><p>On the morning of 22 November 2002, Al Qa’eda terrorists attacked at the hotel. Once the explosion went off, it didn’t take long before Dama realised that her husband was missing. She was horrified, a few minutes later she was told that he was killed. Since then, she is struggling on her own to maintain herself and her nine orphans. Her youngest son is just four years old. From the hotel management she heard nothing. No one came to visit or even just to offer condolences. Neither the Israeli Government nor Kenyan officials have shown any interest. “We, the dancing company, are still owed $120 for the last four performances in front of those Israeli tourists,” she claims in despair.</p><p>“After the terror attack my life became impossible. In the winter I beg for the farmers to cultivate our land for literally pennies,” in the summer she herself doesn’t realise how she makes it.</p><p><img class="alignright size-medium wp-image-8162" title="paradiseafter" src="http://www.toqonline.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/02/paradiseafter-300x233.jpg" alt="paradiseafter" width="300" height="233" />Two month ago ‘Paradise Mombassa’ was reopened under a new management comprised of one Israeli, one French and one American. They try to minimise their exposure, very much like the previous Israeli owner Yeuda Sulami who denies to this day his involvement with the previous management. The new management does its utmost to change the hotel’s image, they are trying to leave the Israeli market behind. Instead they aim to appeal to European and American markets.</p><p>But for many locals, this new business face lift won’t make a big difference, the memory of those very years of total abuse by Israeli tourists and management is not going to fade away. They won’t forget the Israeli guests that sexually assaulted them or were just rude and arrogant. They won’t forget the Israeli management who came along with some bizarre professional demands, failing to pay their monthly wages on time and eventually just stopped paying altogether. Now, maybe out of hope, or just the will to open their hearts, they are giving their personal account of ‘Paradise Mombassa’.</p><p>The idea to erect an Israeli hotel on Kenya’s seashore in the late 1990s was proved to be ingenious. Until then, Kenya was famous for its wild Safari adventures. Yeuda Sulami and his business partner Itzik Mamman came up with the idea of using Kenya as an Israeli holiday resort. They founded a company and started to sell holiday packages including flights, accommodation and local tourist adventures. In the beginning, they were buying accommodation services from local companies. But the Israeli appetite knows no limit. ‘Why don’t we make the big money ourselves’ asked the two, ‘we shall build our hotel on the beach.’ Soon, they joined forces with local investors and founded a company based on ‘time sharing’ holiday rentals for Israelis. The Israeli client reacted enthusiastically, at the end of the day it was: a beautiful hotel offering sunny beaches at the time of the Israeli winter, complete with a flourishing cheap sex industry and just four and a half hours’ flight time from Tel Aviv.</p><p>The leitmotif that guided Sulami and Maman was that the Israeli guest who may come to Kenya once would return. Thus the promotion packages were sold ridiculously cheap. It all worked out perfectly well. Many Israelis returned and invested in holiday accommodation (one Israeli bought 52 holiday units for the sum of $1.5 million). Every week 250 Israelis landed at Mombassa airport, they found an Israeli hotel, it was fully Kosher and it even had a proper synagogue.</p><p>The hotel started to operate in the year 2000 and was officially launched a year later. Local crew was recruited from surrounding hotels. Most workers admit that in the beginning they were rather happy, but things deteriorated rapidly soon after the official opening. Rather soon it was clear that someone was about to pay for the Israeli extravaganza.</p><p><strong>Man should never be Alone</strong></p><p>Three years later, the humiliating practice is left like an open wound in the memory of the female hotel crew veterans. Once a week, just when the Israelis where checking out on their way back to the airport, a bell rang. ‘Get ready, the guests are leaving,’ announced the head of the entertaining team, frantically chasing the female crew. They were all ordered to gather near to the entrance gate and to chase the leaving busses while weeping desperately in front of the Israelis. Once they caught up with the busses they would bang on its metal frame with tears dropping from their eyes.</p><p>“It was a bizarre order,” giggled Saline Aching, the chief masseuse. “We were told to chase the bus, to sing and cry so the guests would know that we love them and want them to come back. I remember myself running like in a frenzied state, I would hit the bus with my fists shouting to the guests, ‘why do you leave us?’ ‘We miss you’, ‘We love you’. The Israelis would stare at us from the windows, some of them believed us to be genuine, others were shooting us with their video cameras. ”</p><p>Rahima Josef Katan: “If you were not crying you may find yourself in danger of losing your job. We were asked to think of something bad that happened to us, so we can cry for real. I didn’t cry.” “I didn’t cry,” Confesses Catherine Khaa, masseuse. “How could I, I didn’t love them at all. I fact I hated them.”</p><p><img class="alignright size-medium wp-image-8163" title="paradiseafter2" src="http://www.toqonline.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/02/paradiseafter2-300x180.jpg" alt="paradiseafter2" width="300" height="180" />The weekly bus chasing was just one example of the way the staff were supposed to treat the Israeli guests. The principles were obvious: humiliation, indignity, and hard labour. The guidelines were clear: The client is always right, the client must be happy, the client must return. The ones who carried most of the burden were the females amongst the entertainment team. Dorothy Maly recollects that once a week, on the arrival day, five of them would be taken to Mombassa airport. “We used sing to them Jambo Jambo (hello hello) and Evenu Shalom Aleichem. The local Kenyans were sure that we had had lost it but the Israelis were over the moon. They loved noise, once we arrived at the hotel, again we started singing loudly. In the night we were instructed by the manager to scream till the last Israeli leaves the dance floor. If a guest decides not to go to sleep, you were required to stay with him till he quits to his room. We were demanded to produce noise almost 24 hours a day. When we took a break, the manager would come and bark: ‘What’s the matter with you, do you fall asleep? I will cut your wage, move on…’.”</p><p>The agenda dictated from above was that a bored guest would never return. Rahima Raymond, masseuse: “We were doomed to sit with the guests till the small hours, to hang around with them. Sulami made it clear that we must keep the guests happy. We were dancing with the men in nightclubs just to make sure that they weren’t staying alone. In case we refused to do so, they would complain to the management: ‘Why don’t they come out with us?’ ‘We want to see the African night life’. They obviously didn’t care about our commitments and family life. Obviously, we didn’t get any ‘extra’ for those services. The day after, while they were still in bed we had to start again at eight in the morning. The slogan ‘the client is always right’ took over. Josef Katan: “they taught us a behavioural code, if a man is near to his wife we were supposed to hold his hand in a certain way, if his wife wasn’t around then we should behave rather differently.”</p><p>“There were religious Jews who couldn’t sign the room service notes on the Jewish Sabbath. We would then keep a note with their room number attached to their bill. Once Sabbath was over, some of them would just refuse to pay. They would argue that we invented it all, ‘you forged our signatures’, they would say. The management would always believe them and expect us to cover their bills. I just couldn’t believe that humans can behave as such.”</p><p><strong>To be seen like an African</strong></p><p>The ever-growing demand to entertain the Israeli guests enforced a maximised utilisation of the local workforce. The crew were mobilised from the many different departments to the entertainment team. “They could pool me out of the kitchen, telling me that the guests want to have a good time and I should go and hang out with them,” says Josef Katan. “ I would then ask, how can I bake cookies and dance simultaneously? The entire hotel was as an entertainment squad. The kitchen stuff were entertainers, the receptionists were entertainers, gardeners were entertainers.” Mali, a dancer: “Saline, the chief masseuse would give us a shout when too many Israelis wanted a massage at the same time. At the time I knew nothing about massage. There was a woman that was brought over by the hotel’s rabbi and she was supposed to teach us. After a short instruction of five minutes I was apparently ready to have a go.”</p><p>In order to maintain ‘authentic African spirit’ the staff was obliged to put on very minimal clothes. Unlike the other hotels in the vicinity, where men were serving in uniform, in Paradise Mombassa the male crew were walking around half naked and with bare feet. The females were allowed just a minimal fabric on their breasts and pubes. “Even when temperatures dropped we were not allowed to cover ourselves.” Marci Mawagambo Aching said: “Sulami wanted us to look ‘authentic’ so when you walk around, the guests can check you out for the night. You must be attractive so they re-book another holiday. It was horrible, but what can you do? I needed the money. One of the Israeli female managers told us that we better follow Sulami’s orders, if he wants us too look like Africans, we better look like ones.”</p><p>Even most basic conditions were lacking. ‘Paradise Mombassa’ is located 8 kilometres from the main road. The dirt track to the hotel passes through a wild savannah loaded with outlaws. But then a solution was found, a truck originally built to transport livestock was converted to transport forty humans. An Israeli employee says, “it was a truck with a sealed cargo wagon without benches. People were so squeezed in that we had to leave the back door open.” Josef Katan: “We felt like animals. Sometimes we were left with no oxygen, but we knew that if we complained we would then asked to stay in the hotel. That would obviously mean we would not be able to see our families. So we kept quiet.” Once a newly appointed manager asked how the Kenyans felt about the manner in which they were transported. The answer was rather clear, ‘for them it doesn’t matter, as long as they are delivered to their work they are happy.’</p><p>Even for meals during the working hours, local crew were left to fend for themselves. But then a creative solution was found. Aching: “there were times when Sulami was kind and let us eat the guests’ leftovers. We were lucky because the Israelis are greedy, they would go to the buffet and put on their plates far more than their bodies can take. They would take piles of salads, and massive chunks of meat, but then, they would barely touch it and leave most of it behind.” Mali: “If to tell the truth, we could see that the food was already on someone else’s plate, but some of us had to eat it, just because they couldn’t afford to buy somewhere else. They where hungry, what could they do?”</p><p>But it goes further. It didn’t take long before the local crew realised that they were not insured. It was clearly revealed after a security man was murdered and his colleague was wounded during a burglary, till this day, neither the grieving family nor the wounded man received any compensation. Work contracts were granted only to the very top managers. Lower hierarchy were provided with a meaningless paper stating an agreed figure. This document has never been respected by its initiators.</p><p><strong>Good Machine, Good Machine</strong></p><p>Saline Aching was curious to understand some Hebrew terms, it is her interest in the Hebrew language that helped her to grasp the meaning of <em>Akol Kalul</em>, all included. Not one hotel staff failed to understand the meaning of the Hebrew idiom that became the hotel business philosophy. All hotel services where included in the price of the holiday package purchased back in Israel. Soon the staff learned that this very idiom means a lot to Israelis.</p><p>“All day long I heard the guests shouting <em>Akol Kalul</em>,” says Josef Katan. “Some of them held me by my arm and shouted at me <em>Akol Kalul</em>. Even on the beach they would just shout to passing people <em>Akol Kalul, Akol Kalul</em>. I would then ask them what that ‘<em>Akol Kalul</em>’ means? They would answer, ‘everything, even you’. I used to tell them that I am not Sulami’s property. He owns the hotel but not me. I thought to myself, “God, do they behave as such in their own country?”</p><p>In the best case scenario, the <em>Akol Kalul</em> was practiced in the free buffet bar materialising into gigantic chunks of meat put on a single plate. In the worst case scenario, it found its way into the massage room. Needless to say, not even one guest evaded his right to be massaged. Aching says, “The first thing the male guests did upon arrival, even before they unloaded their suitcases in the rooms, they would sprint to the massage room. They would enter the hotel with their eyes wide open asking, ‘where is the massage room?’ I used to plan the daily schedule, there was a competition amongst them who is going to get there first.</p><p>Mali: “My role was to tell them: ‘I am Dorothy and I am a masseuse in the hotel’ as soon as I mentioned it they would scream ‘massage, massage’. Most of them couldn’t speak English. They would just say, ‘I come now.’ A tourist from another country would wait even two weeks but in Paradise they wanted it all right on the spot. Sometimes, even before breakfast. Someone would come and tell you, ‘I come for a massage <em>akol kalul</em>, if you don’t do <em>akol kalul</em>, I take another masseuse’.”</p><p>“They would say: “I want <em>Harpaya</em>, (ejaculation), I would then ask what this <em>Harpaya</em> means and they would answer, ‘not only <em>harpaya</em> but we want it ‘all inclusive’, full sex.’ I used to tell them that we don’t do it and he would reply, ‘Read my lips, ‘the women are all included’, the salesman in Tel Aviv promised us that it’s <em>Akol Kalul</em>!’ Sometimes one of the female managers would suggest for to us to follow the guests’ demands just as a guarantee that they would come back.”</p><p>Katherine Kaha, a masseuse, confesses that she had to follow the demands… “I would start doing a massage, and then the man would tell me, ‘do it all over, you must do it’. In case I wouldn’t they would complain to the management. I didn’t like it at all but I did it. They would give me $1 sometimes two, I felt horrible.”</p><p>A frequent Israeli guest to the hotel: “There was always this problem with the massage, the Israelis used to abuse the girls to the very limit. It was appalling and it gave Israel a bad name. There were some groups I was really embarrassed to stand near to. They were so bossy and arrogant, they did whatever they liked, and just had good time.”</p><p>“One of the Israelis told me,” says Rahima, “you know Rahima, last night they provided me with a little baby girl, only 13 years old, I fucked her and gave her $5 just because she was penniless.” I then asked him, “Wasn’t she the age of your granddaughter?” He didn’t answer. On the same night he might as well have come back to the hotel shouting, ‘African women are the best value for money.’ Let me tell you, here in Africa, it isn’t that common that once you sleep with a woman you go and inform the rest of the world about it. But the Israelis kept it all open, they used to say about us: <em>Mechona Tova, Mechona Tova</em> (Good machine, Good machine).”</p><p><strong>The Power to Fuck</strong></p><p>The passion for sex wasn’t only restricted to the massage rooms and wasn’t solely the business of the single male guests. It was rather prohibited to let local girls into the hotel. But a solution was found, just across the road, again in an Israeli partnership, a motel named Calypso was founded. This was where Israelis were hanging around in the nights. “Men used to come to our rooms asking us to go out with them,” tells Josef Katan, “but the worst happened in the morning when they shared the details of last night’s affairs with the entire dining room. They used to shout things like ‘ha, I went with her, I fucked and fucked and fucked her all night long and all for less than one dollar’. We understood exactly what they were talking about. When the first group arrived, I was telling myself that surely the second group would be better. But it was exactly the same. From tine to time they used to ask for room service, once the room service crew would enter their room, they would try to touch her. The waitresses were horrified, they never wanted to go with food to the rooms, but my personal case was different, they were afraid of me because I was rude to them. They used to call me ‘big ass’. This was Ok, it is better being ‘big ass’ rather than being their sex slave.”</p><p>“Even the married men used to find some ways to the girls’ rooms. For instance, one told his wife, ‘go to the dining room, I will be right there with you.’ Apparently he disappeared till the morning after. In the morning we were witnessing the woman screaming at her husband during breakfast. Once a man replied to his wife, ‘the women in Kenya are so great, they have a small hole, unlike you having such a silly big one’. All that at breakfast, in the dining room, in public. When the animosity went wild we always rushed to bring the hotel’s Rabbi in, he would do his best to make peace. Sometimes, the men used to sit in the dining room while the donkeys were having sex outside. As soon as the Israelis noticed the donkeys’ activity they would stand up and show their support: ‘good, good, good, forward, backward, good. good’.”</p><p>“Occasionally, one would come to me telling me in front of everyone else. ‘I will take Viagra and after that I will have the power to fuck. By the way, what’s your name?’ I would say Rahima. ‘Good, Rahima. I want to fuck you today!’” I asked myself what is going on. One guest asked me, ‘do you know Chartie? I went with her to the disco, I fucked her but she wasn’t good at all. Originally I planed to give her $10 but eventually I gave her $1 only. He was shouting like a madman and then Chartie arrived in the room. He then pointed at her with his finger and shouted ‘here she is, it was her’.”</p><p>Karen Tiglo, a room cleaner: “We couldn’t figure out whether the Israelis were wild animals or human beings. They would all the time offer me $10. I felt so humiliated. After a while they would know who amongst the female crew were desperate for money and would just go for them. Stela Matawa, a waitress: from time to time, a man would approach me abusively, in case I would refuse, the man would come to the dining room and shout, ‘leave out this girl she is crap, I took her to the room and she was useless’.”</p><p>Katherine Kaa experienced an especially traumatic event when a seventy-year-old man decided that he was in love with her. “I didn’t love him at all,” she says. “We went out to a <em>discothèque</em>, I was sure that I was just escorting him to assist him killing his boredom. On the way back, he and the taxi driver tricked me, rather than driving back to the hotel, we arrived at a place that hires rooms for the night. Violently, he tried to force me to sleep with him. But I couldn’t. When we went back to the hotel he told me that never wanted to see me again. And he would report to the management that I wasted his money without giving a thing back. After my refusal was reported, the hotel manager dismissed me for two weeks.”</p><p>According to a few of the crew members, not only did the Israeli management fail to denounce, some of the managers actually joined the party (their names are kept with the editors of the newspaper). Raymond, “At the time one of the managers learned to enjoy the massages. He started to demand: ‘do it here, here and there’ just like one of the guests. Another manager would pick girls from the entertainment team, he would say, ‘after all, I am a manager, no one would ask you where were you going.’ I had to accept it although it was rather horrible. The day after when he would pass by me, he would hardly acknowledge me. Every time, after our performances, one dancer would disappear into one of the manager s’ offices. 			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<div><div><p><img class="alignright size-medium wp-image-3496" title="palin" src="http://www.toqonline.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/07/palin-200x300.jpg" alt="palin" width="200" height="300" />Earlier this morning, I <a target="_blank" href="http://www.commentarymagazine.com/viewarticle.cfm/why-jews-hate-palin-15323">read</a> Jennifer Rubin’s &#8220;Why Jews Hate Palin&#8221; in <em>Commentary</em>. The abstract was intriguing enough to warrant purchasing the article. Rubin pointed out that no ethnic group hates Sarah Palin more than the Jews. She has aroused more opposition from the Jewish community than any national figure since Pat Buchanan. Why has a full-throated philo-Semitic Zionist aroused such loathing from American Jews? I already had a ready answer, but wanted to get an alternative perspective.</p><p>Rubin’s conclusion is roughly the same as mine. Jews hate Sarah Palin because of who she is, not for anything she has done. Her down home, folksy persona inspires a visceral negative reaction in urban, cosmopolitan Jews. Palin comes from a rural state. She likes to hunt and fish. She is a pro-life Christian with a down syndrome child. Palin is a gun enthusiast and supporter of traditional values. She could be any soccer mom from suburbia. Palin came across as a populist railing against media elites. All of this is true. It undoubtedly explains some of the Jewish hostility toward Palin, but it still doesn’t go to the heart of the matter.</p><p>If Jews are motivated by social status and social class, why don’t they have a similar negative reaction to blacks and Hispanics? Black politicians are less educated and less articulate than White conservatives. They come from rural states like Mississippi and Alabama. Blacks are hostile to gay marriage. They are working class. Black politicians use populist rhetoric all the time. They are overwhelmingly Protestant Christians. There is even more anti-Semitism and hostility to Israel in the black community.</p><p>Ultimately, Jews hate Sarah Palin for the same reason White conservatives adore her. They hate her for the same reason John McCain picked her as his running mate. She is <a target="_blank" href="http://www.theoccidentalobserver.net/authors/Hoste-Rogue.html">the goddess of implicit Whiteness</a>. Palin appeals to the demographic that American Jews have alway considered their traditional enemy: rural and suburban White Christians from the Southern and Western states.</p><p>She is one of them. If Palin was ever elected president, she could unite this demographic and represent their small town values at the highest level of the American government. Jews would feel threatened by “hope and change” of this sort. Dire warnings about the “new anti-Semitism” would be issued by Jewish organizations. Emigration to Israel would be contemplated. Jews would feel even more alienated from America than they already do now.</p><p>Fear and loathing of White Americans, “leukophobia” or “anti-Whitism,” is normal, acceptable, and mainstream in the Jewish community. It is a form of racial prejudice like any other. It is also a driving force behind Jewish support for Barack Obama. He sees a “variety-pack of political disturbance” including “dangerous players such as the political racialists, the <em>posse comitatus</em> types, the totalitarian populists” coming “out of the woodwork” and joining “the contest over dwindling resources.”  Racialist ideologues will offer “revolutionary action to redefine some lost sense of national purpose.”</p><p>In his 2010 forecast, I was surprised that Kunstler didn’t include his usual dire warnings (Palinites with pitchforks) about “<a target="_blank" href="http://go2.wordpress.com/?id=725X1342&amp;site=antisemitica.wordpress.com&amp;url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.occidentaldissent.com%2F2009%2F07%2F28%2Fcornpone-nazism%2F">cornpone Nazism</a>,” a subject he has endlessly harped upon in the past. Kunstler has become notorious for his <a target="_blank" href="http://go2.wordpress.com/?id=725X1342&amp;site=antisemitica.wordpress.com&amp;url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.occidentaldissent.com%2F2009%2F11%2F16%2Fthe-yeast-people%2F">scathing hatred</a> of ordinary White people. Last month, he went so far as to describe the White working and middle class as “The Yeast People.” I’ve been following him for years and have never seen him use this kind loaded rhetoric to attack blacks and Hispanics for their sordid underclass culture, which by any honest measure is several orders of magnitude worse than comparable trends in the White community.</p><p>Kunstler’s attack on the BNP is especially revealing: “History is ironical. Perhaps this time the Germans will be the good guys, while England goes apeshit with its BNP. Wouldn’t that be something?” The BNP is the only political party in the UK which has raised awareness of the Peak Oil issue, which everyone knows is so dear to his heart, but Kunstler sees Nick Griffin as the leader of the bad guys. He implies that the BNP are Nazis.</p><p>Kunstler’s Jewishness, the source of his fear and loathing of White people, weighs more heavily in his mind than anything he has said about Peak Oil, suburbs, walkable communities, relocalization, or the automobile. That heavily hyped book wanted to take the blame for the Holocaust off Hitler and his lieutenants and put it where Goldhagen felt it belonged: on ALL Germans. They loved killing Jews in the Holocaust, Goldhagen argued. Being Christian and all, they had internalized  virulent &#8220;eliminationist anti-Semitism.&#8221;</p><p>Naturally, the <em>New York Times</em> adored the book (it spent twenty-five weeks on their Best Seller list), and it was translated into at least fifteen languages.</p><p>Across the Big Pond, it sparked the “Goldhagen Debate” in Germany. Defeated in war in 1945, and more thoroughly defeated in spirit ever since, the German nation lauded Goldhagen’s assault on them. A prestigious prize was given: “Because of the penetrating quality and the moral power of his presentation, Daniel Goldhagen has greatly stirred the consciousness of the German public.&#8221;</p><p>Not all informed readers were as thrilled. Professor Albert Lindemann, for one, wrote in <em><a target="_blank" href="http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0521795389?ie=UTF8&amp;tag=theocciquaron-20&amp;linkCode=as2&amp;camp=1789&amp;creative=390957&amp;creativeASIN=0521795389">Esau&#8217;s Tears: Modern Anti-Semitism and the Rise of the Jews</a><img style="border:none !important; margin:0px !important;" src="http://www.assoc-amazon.com/e/ir?t=theocciquaron-20&amp;l=as2&amp;o=1&amp;a=0521795389" border="0" alt="" width="1" height="1" /></em> (Cambridge U. Press 1997) that treatments of the Holocaust by those such as Goldhagen “lack penetration in striking ways. A large number might best be described as cries of pain or expressions of indignation rather than efforts to understand.” Further, he called the book “questionable and simplistic; [Goldhagen] typically ignores, or is ignorant of, evidence that contradicts his by no means original reading of German history.” In sum, Goldhagen’s thesis about pan-German responsibility for the Holocaust “might be termed a twentieth-century <em>psogos</em>, a tirade that is motivated by goals other than the impartial search for truth.”</p><p>Well, that’s putting it more nicely than I would, but then Lindemann was writing a year after Goldhagen’s first book, while I have the advantage of a dozen more years to draw on. By 2002, Goldhagen had cast his net more widely in his next work, <em><a target="_blank" href="http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0375714170?ie=UTF8&amp;tag=theocciquaron-20&amp;linkCode=as2&amp;camp=1789&amp;creative=390957&amp;creativeASIN=0375714170">A Moral Reckoning: The Role of the Catholic Church in the Holocaust and Its Unfulfilled Duty of Repair</a><img style="border:none !important; margin:0px !important;" src="http://www.assoc-amazon.com/e/ir?t=theocciquaron-20&amp;l=as2&amp;o=1&amp;a=0375714170" border="0" alt="" width="1" height="1" /></em>. One reviewer for <em>National Review</em>, called <em>A Moral Reckoning</em> &#8220;a 352-page exercise in intellectual bad manners&#8221; and &#8220;a spree of intellectual wilding.&#8221; This was part of the genre of anti-Catholic books that were all the rage during that period, prompting Philip Jenkins to pen <em><a target="_blank" href="http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0195176049?ie=UTF8&amp;tag=theocciquaron-20&amp;linkCode=as2&amp;camp=1789&amp;creative=390957&amp;creativeASIN=0195176049">The New Anti-Catholicism: The Last Acceptable Prejudice</a><img style="border:none !important; margin:0px !important;" src="http://www.assoc-amazon.com/e/ir?t=theocciquaron-20&amp;l=as2&amp;o=1&amp;a=0195176049" border="0" alt="" width="1" height="1" /></em>.</p><p>Now comes Professor Goldhagen’s latest book, <em><a target="_blank" href="http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/1586487698?ie=UTF8&amp;tag=theocciquaron-20&amp;linkCode=as2&amp;camp=1789&amp;creative=390957&amp;creativeASIN=1586487698">Worse Than War: Genocide, Eliminationism, and the Ongoing Assault on Humanity</a><img style="border:none !important; margin:0px !important;" src="http://www.assoc-amazon.com/e/ir?t=theocciquaron-20&amp;l=as2&amp;o=1&amp;a=1586487698" border="0" alt="" width="1" height="1" /></em>. And what a doozy it is. I read the <a target="_blank" href="http://www.culturewars.com/books.htm">review </a>of it in the <em>New York Times Book Review</em>. Reviewer James Traub thought it was swell.</p><p>To my surprise, another review of it turned up in <em>The National Interest</em>. The title of the review, “<a target="_blank" href="http://www.nationalinterest.org/Article.aspx?id=22364">The Willing Misinterpreter</a>,” captures the tone of the review. Though reviewer David Rieff is a fellow Jew (his mother was Susan Sontag, of blessed memory), he tears apart Goldhagen’s heated prose, beginning by labeling him an “amateur historian.”</p><p>As I noted, Goldhagen has widened his net in hunting bad guys, as Rieff picks up on: “<em>Worse Than War</em> is, depending on your point of view, either the logical conclusion of the path Goldhagen has been taking for the past fifteen years or its <em>reductio ad absurdum</em>.” Acknowledging Goldhagen’s families’ history, Rieff still states that Goldhagen’s views “are either willfully naïve or idiotic.” Tracing the bombastic style Goldhagen employs to Goldhagen’s high regard for . . . Daniel Jonah Goldhagen, Rieff concludes that “The man really does give self-love a bad name.”</p><p>In addition to the differences in assessments of the worth of <em>Worse Than War</em>, I noticed one other important difference between the <em>Times </em>piece and that in <em>The National Interest</em>: The former ignores Jewish identity and Israel, while Rieff twice notes Goldhagen’s powerful pro-Israel orientation. This prompts me to unpack the review in the <em>Times</em>.</p><p>To do this, however, allow me a short digression. Earlier this year, I was musing over the question of whether Jews ever feel guilt or remorse when they blatantly insult, injure or kill <em>goyim</em>. I had to conclude, based on my research and observations, that the answer was no. Invariably, they possess mental traits that allow them to project their guilty behavior onto the actual victim, and in turn conceive of themselves as the victims. (Have a look at Chapter 8 of Kevin MacDonald’s <em><a target="_blank" href="http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/1410792617?ie=UTF8&amp;tag=theocciquaron-20&amp;linkCode=as2&amp;camp=1789&amp;creative=390957&amp;creativeASIN=1410792617">Separation and Its Discontents: Toward an Evolutionary Theory of Anti-Semitism</a><img style="border:none !important; margin:0px !important;" src="http://www.assoc-amazon.com/e/ir?t=theocciquaron-20&amp;l=as2&amp;o=1&amp;a=1410792617" border="0" alt="" width="1" height="1" /></em>, which deals with the phenomenon of Jewish self-deception.)</p><p>No sooner had I reached this conclusion than E. Michael Jones in his magazine <a target="_blank" href="http://www.culturewars.com/index1.htm"><em>Culture Wars</em></a> called my views into question. In the April issue, he published his essay “Jewish Monsters from the Jewish Id.” The essay was partially based on his 2000 book <em><a target="_blank" href="http://www.culturewars.com/books.htm">Monsters from the Id: The Rise of Horror in Fiction and Film</a></em>. The book discussed how the sexual liberation crowd &#8220;tried to drive religious and moral nature out with a pitchfork, but found that nature only returned through the back door, in the form of a monster.&#8221; In other words, <a target="_blank" href="http://www.conservativebookclub.com/products/BookPage.asp?prod_cd=c5548">as one review summarized</a> with respect to sexual license and its attendant abortion problem, “Horror, says Jones, comes from a guilty conscience that won&#8217;t admit that it’s done anything wrong — and horror stories reveal the true nature of that guilt again and again.”</p><p>Jones combined this with his remarkable 2008 book <em><a target="_blank" href="http://www.culturewars.com/books.htm">The Jewish Revolutionary Spirit and Its Impact on World History</a></em> to argue that the 2009 film <em>The Unborn</em> “is about Jewish guilt over abortion manifesting itself as fetal monsters.”</p><p>Jones’ review is too long to describe here, but let me say I found his argument compelling. Let me just offer this one passage because it informs what follows on Goldhagen. The crucial Jewish role in getting abortion legalized in America, Jones argues, plus the high rates at which Jews abort their own children,</p><p style="padding-left: 30px;">explains the need to bring up Auschwitz, because the function of the holocaust is to absolve all Jews from any guilt they may have incurred by violating the moral law. Auschwitz is the totem which calms the troubled Jewish conscience by assuring the Jew that he is the eternal victim, and, as such, incapable of incurring guilt as the perpetrator of some immoral act like, say, killing a fellow Jew in the womb of his mother.</p><p>More pertinently yet, Jones sees that last December’s Israeli massacre of innocent Palestinian women and children also inevitably creates subconscious Jewish guilt. Which brings me back to Goldhagen and the review of his book in the <em>New York Times</em>.</p><p>The <em>Times </em>review never mentions Israel or its behavior. Goldhagen is writing about all manner of genocides and man’s inhumanity to man, but the review is silent on one of the most prominent ongoing examples in the world: that of the Israelis against the Palestinians (see “For Whom the Gaza Bell Tolls,” <a target="_blank" href="http://www.theoccidentalobserver.net/authors/Connelly-Gaza.html">Part 1</a> and <a target="_blank" href="http://www.theoccidentalobserver.net/authors/Connelly-Gaza2.html">Part 2</a>.) Early chapters in Worse Than War have titles such as “Our Age’s Slaughters” and “Varieties of Eliminationist  Assault,” so I have to wonder if he admits to what Israel is doing and has done.</p><p>More broadly, I find it highly unlikely that Goldhagen will highlight the prominent Jewish role in the Communist takeover of the Soviet Union and Eastern Europe, resulting in tens of millions of deaths of non-Jews. Perhaps readers familiar with this new book can help me.</p><p>Based on the two reviews I’ve discussed, however, as well as Goldhagen’s past works, I’d wager that he ignores, downplays, or denies Jewish guilt in any number of mass slaughters over the ages. If so, I can proffer this hypothesis: A Jewish writer like Goldhagen is projecting Jewish guilt for Jewish behavior onto the groups he writes about. More to the point, Goldhagen himself is dealing with the guilt engendered by concrete Jewish behavior, but is repressing it. As we all know, what is repressed must come out somewhere.</p><p>The result in Goldhagen’s case is a series of increasingly obsessive books, where the target group grows larger and larger. Meanwhile, because Goldhagen has mis-identified the source of his rage, his rage only grows.</p><p>So what else might be going on in the mind of Goldhagen, one of the most privileged Americans of his generation? As far as I can tell, no one has ever touched or threatened a hair on his head. He was born in Massachusetts and raised as the son of a Harvard professor (who survived the Holocaust). In turn, Daniel attended Harvard from B.A. through Ph.D. and then taught there for some years. What might account for his elevated level of what can only be termed hate?</p><p>Getting back to my introductory discussion on this “Jewish virtue” of hate — yes, it was so identified in an infamous essay in <em>First Things</em>, “<a target="_blank" href="http://www.%20firstthings.com/ftissues/ft0302/articles/soloveichik.html">The virtue of hate</a>” where the Jewish rabbi and then Yale Divinity School student admitted that a nun who realized that “hatred is in the Jewish religion” was right. As most of us already know, “Hebrew prophets and judges believed ardently in the ‘virtue of hate.’” With a passion. I like that. And the rabbi has no problem acknowledging that “many Jews, in my own experience, have continued to despise religions Christians.” Bottom line: “When hate is appropriate, then it is not only virtuous, but essential for Jewish well-being.”</p><p>It is a common Jewish personality trait that we cannot ignore because so many Jews direct so much hatred toward so many of us non-Jews. Worse, they have the power to turn that hatred into real harm (and to subsequently protect themselves from their actions).</p><p>As just another taste of this process, peruse <a href="http://toqonline.com/2009/11/herve-ryssen-part-3/">Hervé Ryssen&#8217;s characterization</a> of Jewish intellectuals&#8217; contempt for non-Jews in this piece:</p><p style="padding-left: 30px;">It is not enough for these intellectuals to talk nonsense, to lull us with “human rights,” to bind us with repressive laws, and to inject us with alien cultural poisons. They also have to pour into our ears their contempt for our old cultures. But this contempt does not seem to fully satisfy their thirst for revenge. They must also insult us and spit in our faces: “ignoramuses, xenophobes, paranoiacs, morons, lunatics, etc.” . . .</p><p style="padding-left: 30px;">And I will not recount the innumerable films in which the cosmopolitan scriptwriters take their revenge against Christian civilization and the white man in general. It seems obvious to me, regarding all this logorrhea, that these people hate us. It could not be any more obvious if they wore flashing neon signs on their heads.</p><p>Let me close with this point: Goldhagen writes that “hundreds of millions of people are at risk of becoming the victims of genocide and related violence.” God help us if Goldhagen is projecting repressed Jewish desires and intentions, for given the current Jewish stranglehold over America, they could indeed induce mass slaughter. We have seen the process at work in Russia, so we know many of the details, accentuated by the tremendous death toll of non-Jews. Recall that “anyone who had the misfortune to fall into the hands of the Cheka stood a very good chance of finding himself confronted with and possibly <a target="_blank" href="http://www.amazon.com/Jewish-Century-Yuri-Slezkine/dp/0691127603/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&amp;s=books&amp;qid=1204790746&amp;sr=1-1">shot by a Jewish investigator</a>.”</p><p>Tomislav Sunic expounded on this parallel between Soviet Russia and today’s America in <em><a target="_blank" href="http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/1419659847?ie=UTF8&#038;tag=theocciquaron-20&#038;linkCode=as2&#038;camp=1789&#038;creative=390957&#038;creativeASIN=1419659847">Homo americanus:: Child of the Postmodern Age</a><img src="http://www.assoc-amazon.com/e/ir?t=theocciquaron-20&#038;l=as2&#038;o=1&#038;a=1419659847" width="1" height="1" border="0" alt="" style="border:none !important; margin:0px !important;" /></em>. In that book, he saw dark clouds on the horizon for any group in America that might be targeted: “Thus, in order for the proper functioning of future Americanized society, the removal of millions of surplus citizens must become a social and possibly also an ecological necessity.” Kevin MacDonald, in the book’s Foreword, identified what sectors might be targeted “and therefore worthy of mass murder by the American counterparts of the Jewish elite in the Soviet Union—the ones who journeyed to Ellis Island instead of Moscow.” They are the European-derived Whites populating vast areas of the American nation, particularly in the so-called “red states.”</p><p>Remember, ideas have consequences. And the good Professor Goldhagen seems to have a fixation on genocide. That worries me, given that he is plugged into the ruling circles of the United States.</p><p>But in some distant future, there might be hope. As evidenced by his own books, Goldhagen opts to collectively blame Germans, to collectively blame Catholics, to collectively blame many other groups for their trespasses. What if Jews were ever to collectively repent for their considerable trespasses against others these last three to four millennia? To repent for their financial, political, and most of all lethal crimes against humanity? Did one of our guys write &#8220;Grab your loafers, come along if you wanna, and we&#8217;ll blow that <em>shofar </em>for Rosh Hashanah&#8221;? No, we didn&#8217;t.</p><p>Oh my. &#8220;<em>Dreck</em>,&#8221; for those who don&#8217;t know, is yiddish slang for shit.</p><p>The reaction from self-identified jews was unhinged. It follows a template including some or all of the following elements: denying Keillor&#8217;s claim, condemning him for it, acknowledging its truth, and saying nastier things about Christians. I&#8217;ll cite a few good examples. Here for instance is a response attached to the original editorial:</p><p style="padding-left: 30px;">I am astounded Mr. Keillor that It has taken you most of your life to realize the depravity of the non-believers. Where I live in Silicon Valley, every ethnicity can be found on my block. Probably half are not Christian, yet most have Christmas trees. Let&#8217;s send these non-believers to Auschwitz where they and the Jews can learn the true meaning of Christ. The Jews. Oh the Jews . They have contaminated Christmas by writing music and making movies about it. They have ruined it by inventing running a toy train under the Christmas tree and hosting a parade in New York. They have dared to stand up to the WASP tradition of segregation and hate.They actually claim that Jesus was one of them. Mr. Keillor enjoy your Christmas, Jew-less with Mel Gibson. You may be the last true Christians.</p><p>This self-righteous fellow equates criticizing shitty Christmas songs written by jews to putting them in a concentration camp. He gets so lost in his sarcasm that he reveals an acceptance of a broadened version of Keillor&#8217;s beef &#8212; that &#8220;the jews&#8221; righteously ruined Christmas, their hostility justified by &#8220;the WASP tradition of segregation and hate&#8221;.</p><p>More reader comments were published as separate items. For example, <a target="_blank" href="http://www.chicagotribune.com/topic/bal-keillorletter1217f,0,5625748.story">Keillor has wrong villain for Chrismas&#8217; ills</a>:</p><p style="padding-left: 30px;">Yesterday, perhaps at roughly the same moment you were putting the finishing touches on &#8220;Non-believers, please leave Christmas alone&#8221; (Dec. 16), I was swallowing back bile while watching the Christmas songs for which you and I share equal antipathy being etched into the psyche my 2-year-old Jewish daughter. The frustration and sorrow that you feel about the trite-making of Christmas is, to borrow a phrase from your (likewise appropriated) Yiddish-Minnesota phrasebook, <em>bubkes </em>compared with a Jew&#8217;s sufferance of the Santa Claus tube-feeding to which we are subjected each year. You see, we have a little history that colors our feelings. I&#8217;ll leave it there.</p><p style="padding-left: 30px;">That you included even the mere mention of Jews in your diatribe, you might imagine upon further reflection, is beyond infuriating. As an outsider to your traditions and holidays, I frankly agree with many of your conclusions, but you missed the point: the hijacking of Christmas is purely the result of capitalism and the free market economy. The fact that a bunch of Jews wrote your Christmas songs is solely a function thereof. I needn&#8217;t lecture you on the confluence of commerce and artisanship, but suffice it to say, it is a two-way street. In other words, y&#8217;all bought the songs that we sold. You buy it, you break it.</p><p style="padding-left: 30px;">The long reach of your words is based upon the popularity you enjoy among the intellectual elite. Just take another look at the numbers at the listenership of the public radio stations that carry your program, then re-read the opinion piece in question. If self-sabotage is your aim, my compliments. If not, you may consider apologies to: Jews, pinch-faced drones (those who strive to understand and forward the human condition), Harvard alumni and the sorry suckers who work too hard to make Christmas perfect. Admittedly a mixed bag &#8212; your targets are either too elite for you or not elite enough.</p><p>I think it&#8217;s fair to summarize the sentiment here as: &#8220;No lowly Christian is fit to compare their sufferance to that of a jew. Yes, we wrote (and profit from) these shitty songs, but even mere disapproval of this infuriates us. Blame economics. Purely. Repent sinner, or feel our retribution.&#8221;</p><p>Another response is notable for its superbly compact hypocrisy and falsehood. <a target="_blank" href="http://www.chicagotribune.com/topic/bal-ed.le.letters241dec24,0,2022388.story">Jews aren&#8217;t the ones who secularized Christmas</a>:</p><p style="padding-left: 30px;">We can barely get our children excused from school on the Jewish High Holidays, and Mr. Keillor whines about Jews who wrote songs inspired by Christmas.</p><p>The author inverts reality, claiming her imagined concerns are concrete and Keillor&#8217;s concrete concerns are imagined.</p><p>Lots of people have noted how and why jews have helped secularize Christmas. I&#8217;ll provide some examples of that in a moment. What I&#8217;d like to see is some evidence of jews anywhere in the US not being excused from school on their high holidays. In the midst of <a target="_blank" href="http://age-of-treason.blogspot.com/2008/09/greatest-ripoff-in-history.html">the greatest ripoff in history</a>, which absolutely, positively had to be dealt with immediately, or else, congress somehow found the time to <a target="_blank" href="http://www.usatoday.com/news/washington/2008-09-30-jewish-holiday_N.htm">observe a jewish high holy day</a>. Beyond that, the full force and weight of the US government stands ready to defend jews and their jewish children against any discrimination, whether by race or religion. The media isn&#8217;t at all shy about <a target="_blank" href="http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/lanow/2009/10/shooting-at-la-synagogue-investigated-as-hate-crime-man-arrested.html">reporting anti-jewish &#8220;hate&#8221;</a> within minutes of the mere hint of it being detected. Call it whining, but Christians, despite the supposed protection offered to religion, are treated to a different, lower standard than jews, and not only <a target="_blank" href="http://www.misconduct.org/">in schools</a>. The assault goes on 24/7/365. She&#8217;d like to see <a target="_blank" href="http://www.usnews.com/blogs/erbe/2007/08/06/interracial-marriages-promise.html">&#8220;Americans intermarry across racial lines so thoroughly as to erase all genetic differences.&#8221;</a> I don&#8217;t believe her hate for &#8220;theocrats&#8221; would be erased even if she accepted Jesus.</p><p>Even if it were restricted to the words and deeds of Larry David, Bill Maher, Tim Wise, or Bonnie Erbe alone this list could be much longer. Garrison Keillor is a weak and lonely voice in a media brimming with jews whose fame and fortune aren&#8217;t at all threatened by their nasty attacks on Christians. For his crime Keillor will likely apologize and/or lose his soapbox. No such punishment awaits David, Maher, Wise, Erbe, or the hundreds of overs guilty of saying far more hostile things than, say, shitty Christian music has ruined jewish holidays.</p><p>The point is that Keillor has a point. If anything, his complaint was too narrow. Similar defenses of Christianity &#8212; made by prominent voices in mainstream media &#8212; are increasingly timid and rare. The problem with Keillor&#8217;s complaint is not that it is inaccurate or attacks &#8220;the jews&#8221; &#8212; it&#8217;s that he implied one aspect of a tiny subset of jewish influence is bad. For that, under our thoroughly judaized regime, any man will be vilified. This is especially true for anyone with a prominent voice.</p><p>In &#8220;<a target="_blank" href="http://newsbusters.org/blogs/noel-sheppard/2009/12/20/garrison-keillor-lousy-holiday-songs-jews-trash-malls">Garrison Keillor: &#8216;Lousy Holiday Songs By Jews Trash Up Malls,&#8217;</a>&#8221; Noel Sheppard describes the Keillor paragraph I quoted at the top as &#8220;rabid anti-Semitism,&#8221; provided a long list of well-known Christmas songs written by jews, and then called Keillor an &#8220;anti-Semitic (expletive deleted).&#8221; There is no dispute about the contribution of jews. Keillor&#8217;s use of the words &#8220;trash&#8221; and &#8220;<em>dreck</em>&#8221; to describe that contribution is what triggers the typically hyperbolic reaction.</p><p>Andy Lewis, writing in the <em>LA Times</em>, titled his article published on 24 December 2009, &#8220;<a target="_blank" href="http://www.latimes.com/entertainment/news/la-et-jewish-musicians24-2009dec24,0,585406.story">Bob Dylan joins long list of Jewish musicians performing Christmas music</a>.&#8221; Apparently unaware that the idea is controversial he also provided a window into the jewish rationale for secularizing Christmas:</p><p style="padding-left: 30px;">Diamond closed the album with a raucous performance of comedian Adam Sandler&#8217;s &#8220;The Chanukah Song,&#8221; which name-checks Jewish entertainers, including Kirk Douglas, Dinah Shore and &#8220;Star Trek&#8217;s&#8221; William Shatner and Leonard Nimoy.</p><p style="padding-left: 30px;">&#8220;I thought I&#8217;d throw one in there for my people too, because we always feel a little left out around this time of year,&#8221; Diamond told the Telegraph in London recently. &#8220;Christmas music is amazingly evocative to people of all religions and cultures.&#8221;</p><p style="padding-left: 30px;">Others also cite the universal aspects of the holiday season &#8212; and the role of music in it &#8212; as their justification for taking on the subject of Christmas.</p><p style="padding-left: 30px;">&#8220;I feel the Christmas holidays and the music are basically, for me, not religious,&#8221; Neil Sedaka, one of the most prolific and successful songwriters of the &#8217;60s and &#8217;70s, said from his home in L.A. recently. &#8220;I&#8217;m proud to be Jewish, but I don&#8217;t practice it. To me the holidays are about bringing friends and family together. I can remember vividly years ago listening to Bing Crosby&#8217;s &#8216;White Christmas&#8217; and thinking that Christmas music should be played throughout the year because it&#8217;s so joyous.&#8221;</p><p style="padding-left: 30px;">Sedaka&#8217;s 2008 double album, &#8220;Miracle of Christmas,&#8221; brought together one disc of original songs he&#8217;d written, with a second disc of traditional songs and carols that he&#8217;d put together for the QVC cable channel.</p><p style="padding-left: 30px;">&#8220;I started out as a concert pianist at the Juilliard School,&#8221; Sedaka said, &#8220;and I&#8217;m a very studied musician. I think of the music first, and what it brings to the people emotionally.&#8221;</p><p style="padding-left: 30px;">Barry Manilow too says that the power of music, more than the scriptural messages, has spurred him to record three collections of Christmas music over the years.</p><p>In &#8220;<a target="_blank" href="http://www.prospect.org/cs/articles?articleId=10775">An All-American Christmas</a>,&#8221; published on 22 December 2005, Harold Meyerson claims:</p><p style="padding-left: 30px;">Irving Berlin invented the separation of church and song with “White Christmas.”</p><p style="padding-left: 30px;">&#8220;White Christmas&#8221; was one of a dozen numbers that Berlin wrote for &#8220;Holiday Inn,&#8221; each song commemorating a specific holiday. One hesitates to impute anything so vulgar as a message to a Crosby-Fred Astaire musical, but the message of this musical is that we are all Americans and these are our holidays. Easter belongs to all of us, even if it is about little more than strolling down Fifth Avenue. Christmas belongs to all of us. The religious content of those holidays was fine for Christian believers, but the composer of &#8220;God Bless America&#8221; preferred to celebrate a common national identity, complete with common holidays that had nonsectarian meanings.</p><p style="padding-left: 30px;">Berlin kept Christmas in the public square and, more than anyone before or since, sent it out over the public airwaves. But it was an American, not a Christian, Christmas. And by the crass index of number of recordings sold, and the not-so-crass index of number of spirits touched, Berlin&#8217;s nonsectarian holiday has been the predominant version of Christmas in this country for the past 60 years.</p><p style="padding-left: 30px;">Now the Fox News demagogues want to impose a more sectarian Christmas on us, supplanting the distinctly American holiday we have celebrated lo these threescore years with a holiday that divides us along religious lines. Bill O&#8217;Reilly can blaspheme all he wants, but like millions of my countrymen, I take attacks on Irving Berlin&#8217;s America personally. If O&#8217;Reilly doesn&#8217;t like it here, why doesn&#8217;t he go back to where he came from?</p><p>Like Bonnie Erbe, Harold Meyerson has a powerful media amplifier he uses to vent his hostility towards Christians, especially White Christians. Here he lauds the recent imposition of a secularized Christmas while heaping fear and loathing on the original, secular Christmas. In &#8220;<a target="_blank" href="http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2008/09/02/AR2008090202442.html">Economy? What Economy?</a>,&#8221; published on 3 Sept 2008, Meyerson echoes Erbe:</p><p style="padding-left: 30px;">this year&#8217;s GOP convention is almost shockingly &#8212; un-Americanly &#8212; white. Long term, this whiteness is a huge problem</p><p>Jews are constantly complaining about the problems they have with Christians and Whites in terms far more broad, far more hateful, and far more common than what Garrison Keillor wrote. 			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>It was about twenty years ago when I first noticed that the greeting &#8220;Merry Christmas&#8221; was being replaced by the bland, neutral &#8220;Season&#8217;s Greetings&#8221; and &#8220;Happy Holidays.&#8221;</p><p>I asked a school teacher of my acquaintance, a benighted liberal who is an infallible barometer of the latest currents of political correctness, why this was happening. I was answered with another question: &#8220;If you were Jewish, wouldn&#8217;t you feel offended if someone wished you a Merry Christmas?&#8221; The tone communicated that this was self-evident, that we must avoid giving such offense at all costs, and that I was stupid for even asking. Obviously she had spent too much time talking down to students.</p><p>I thought to myself, &#8220;I would not be offended if a Jew wished me a Happy Hanukkah. That would be small-minded. So why should a Jew be offended if I wished him a Merry Christmas? What makes Jews different? Why do people cater to such small-mindedness?”</p><p>I also thought to myself, &#8220;Wouldn&#8217;t a pluralistic, liberal attitude imply many different holiday greetings, rather than one bland, characterless, homogeneous one?&#8221;</p><p>I also began to notice the proliferation of the abbreviation &#8220;X-mas,&#8221; even in greetings cards, store displays, and advertisements. Abbreviations are perfectly OK in hand-scrawled notes and emails. But they are gauche in more formal contexts, so I wondered what was driving this lapse in taste and style. Why are people literally “X”ing &#8220;Christ&#8221; out of &#8220;Christmas&#8221;? Is it merely another symptom of the secularization and commercialization of Christmas? But who is behind that trend? And is there some anti-Christian malice at work here?</p><p>Recently, there has been a proliferation of news stories about the destruction of Christmas in England and the US to cater to the tastes of anti-Christian minorities. For instance, in 2002 in Mobile, Alabama, the annual Christmas parade, celebrated since 1945, was to be renamed &#8220;The Jolly Holiday&#8221; parade. According to the organizers, &#8220;They said they wanted a name that was more inclusive, since the parade this year would include Hanukkah and Kwanzaa floats along with the usual Christmas fair [sic].&#8221;</p><p>Are we losing Christmas to pander to celebrators of Kwanzaa? The answer is no.</p><p>Kwanzaa is the ersatz African holiday invented in 1966 by an American Negro who goes by the name of Maulana Ron Karenga. Kwanzaa is supposed to be a Negro alternative to Christmas. It is a seven-day feast, celebrated from December 26 to January 1. Each day of Kwanzaa commemorates a different concept: unity (not diversity; unity is for them, diversity for us), self-determination, collective work and responsibility, cooperative economics, purpose, creativity and faith.</p><p>Up to this point, most people will give Kwanzaa a respectful hearing. But wait: To commemorate each day of Kwanzaa, a candle is lit in a seven-branch candelabrum called the &#8220;Kinara.&#8221; Now &#8220;Kinara&#8221; is supposed to sound like &#8220;Menorah,&#8221; but with a &#8220;k&#8221; for Kwanzaa. Get it? (I know, you thought that the Kinara was a rank in the Ku Klux Klan, somewhere between the Kleagle and the Klegrapp.) The Kinara reveals just how infantile, contrived, and derivative Kwanzaa really is. Even the most patronizing liberals roll their eyes.</p><p>But stupidity is no bar to advancement in today&#8217;s America, so Kwanzaa is slowly on the rise. In 1997 the US Post Office released a Kwanzaa stamp. Merchandisers see the potential for Kwanzaa profits, and so do politicians. Bill Clinton began issuing annual Kwanzaa proclamations, a practice continued by our conservative president George W. Bush.</p><p>But Kwanzaa is not destroying Christmas. Most Americans still have never heard of it, and no White American can think of it without embarrassment. Even White liberals probably prefer not to think of it at all, so it is not likely to be in the back of their minds when they wish you a hearty &#8220;Happy Holidays!&#8221; Besides, most Blacks who celebrate Kwanzaa probably celebrate Christmas too, so it is unlikely that they would bristle to the defense of Kwanzaa if wished a &#8220;Merry Christmas!&#8221;</p><p>No, it is the Jews who stole Christmas. Kwanzaa merely apes Hanukkah. Hanukkah is a minor Jewish holiday that celebrates, like most Jewish holidays, the massacre of tribal enemies. It is primarily in the US that Hanukkah has been promoted as a Jewish rival to Christmas.</p><p>The motives for this are unclear. One may be crypsis, the desire of some Jews to blend in among their host populations. Crypsis is certainly a motive in Reform Judaism. Reform synagogues have even adopted stained-glass windows and organ music to give the impression that Judaism is just another &#8220;Judeo-Christian&#8221; denomination.</p><p>Another motive may be rivalry: Jews recognize the appeal of Christmas, and want to keep their children busy doing something else during the Christmas season.</p><p>Malice probably also plays a role.</p><p>First, there is the resentment of the eternal outsider trying to make himself feel comfortable by breaking down the distinction between inside and outside. To do this, he has to efface the host culture&#8217;s defining symbols. A Jew feels outside when you say &#8220;Merry Christmas,&#8221; but he feels comfortable when you say &#8220;Happy Holidays.&#8221; Indeed, he feels pleased with this concrete token of his cultural and political power.</p><p>Then there is the particular resentment that Jews nurse toward Christianity. There are at least three reasons for this. First, Jesus was an apostate Jew, and nobody likes an apostate. Second, Jesus rejected Judaism for its tribalism, inhumanity, and intellectual dishonesty, and the truth hurts, so Jews hate Jesus as a bearer of bad news. Third, although today Islam is the religion most resistant to Jews and Christianity the most embarrassingly apologetic and subservient, this has been the case primarily since the foundation of the state of Israel. Before that, Jews lived securely in Muslim lands while they were being expelled from virtually every Christian country in Europe. Chapter 5 of Israel Shahak&#8217;s <em><a target="_blank" href="http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0745308198?ie=UTF8&amp;tag=theocciquaron-20&amp;linkCode=as2&amp;camp=1789&amp;creative=390957&amp;creativeASIN=0745308198">Jewish History, Jewish Religion: The Weight of Three Thousand Years</a></em> contains an eye-opening discussion of Jewish attitudes toward non-Jews, including a comparison of Jewish attitudes towards Christians and Muslims.</p><p>Jew Philip Roth is the author of dreadful novels that are nonetheless extremely revealing of the operations of the Jewish mind. In <em>Operation Shylock: A Confession</em>, he gloats, &#8220;God gave Moses the Ten Commandments and then he gave Irving Berlin &#8216;Easter Parade&#8217; and &#8216;White Christmas,&#8221; the two holidays that celebrate the divinity of Christ &#8212; and what does Irving Berlin do? He de-Christs them both! Easter turns into a fashion show and Christmas into a holiday about snow.&#8221;</p><p>So how do we take back Christmas? First, let me say something about my motives. I was raised a Christian, but it never took. I would prefer to keep Christianity out of politics, and I would hate to live in an intolerant Christian society. Frankly, I wish that our ancestors had held onto their old pagan religions. Indeed, Christmas incorporates many old European pagan elements, but note that multiculturalists make no attempt to cater to the celebrants of Yule, Saturnalia, and the birthday of Mithras. Nothing White is promoted by the multiculturalists.</p><p>But, still, I like Christmas a lot. When the days grow short and the weather gets bad, it is nice to create an environment of cheer and good will. At bottom, my objection is not religious, but cultural. I hate to see the homogenizing, secularizing, leveling forces of modernity at work, even on a religion that I do not profess.</p><p>So what is to be done? First, although Jews are the driving force behind the destruction of Christmas, they are a tiny minority, unlovable and unloved, and all the pushiness in the world would not have triumphed if Whites were not such pushovers. Second, the Mobile &#8220;Jolly Holiday Parade&#8221; incident is instructive. The gentiles pushed back: &#8220;citing e-mail and telephone threats from residents opposed to a parade without the word Christmas in its title . . . Mobile Christmas Parade Inc. . . . announced there would be no parade this year. . . . Three hours later, volunteers with Main Street  Mobile, a city-staffed organization formed to promote downtown, announced that a parade will roll . . . . It will be called the Mobile Christmas Holiday Parade.&#8221;</p><p>This year, I have been pushing back in a subtle but steady way. Every chance I get, I wish people a &#8220;Merry Christmas,&#8221; most pointedly when I am wished &#8220;Happy Holidays.&#8221; I have even been wishing a &#8220;Merry Christmas&#8221; to the atheists and Odinists I know.</p><p>So, with that long preface in mind: from one infidel to another, &#8220;Merry Christmas!&#8221;<br /><strong><br /></strong></p>]]></content:encoded>

Last weekend’s blizzard transformed it into a veritable winter wonderland, with the normally busy street empty enough for my neighbors to walk or cross-country ski to the few restaurants, bars, and movie theatres that were still open.</p><p>With the corporate chains and the city government and shut down, one would think that the War on Christmas would take a snow day. But, sadly, my brainwashed neighbors kept waging it.</p><p>As I walked Peggy, my four month-old puppy, down through the snow, she spotted another dog with a few college students. As they sniffed each other, we exchanged the usual pleasantries about the breed and age of our dogs.</p><p>As we parted, one of the students wished me a Merry Christmas. Before I could respond, one his friends quickly chided “Don’t say Merry Christmas, say Happy Holidays!”</p><p>Not eager to get in a political argument, I said “Merry Christmas is fine” and began to walk away. Then the Grinch scolded his friend: “What if he wasn’t Christian, you would have offended him.”</p><p>At this point, I could not help but turn around and briefly explain that I was Jewish, but that I was not offended by someone wishing me Merry Christmas.</p><p>He asked why. I replied this is still a majority Christian nation and I respect that. Without missing a beat, he corrected me: “America is not a Christian nation, it’s a diverse nation!”</p><p>With the snow still floating down, I was not willing to suffer frostbite to deprogram him. So I parted by asking: “If you think that diversity is so great, why does it make you censor yourself from uttering the most harmless niceties?”</p><p>My Scrooge neighbor was most likely an emasculated Christian But many of my fellow Jews certainly do help wage the War Against Christmas. . . . <a target="_blank" href="http://www.vdare.com/epstein/091221_christmas.htm">Read the rest of the article</a>.</p>]]></content:encoded>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><img class="alignright size-medium wp-image-7055" style="border: 1px solid black;" title="ShittingSanta" src="http://www.toqonline.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/12/ShittingSanta-223x300.jpg" alt="ShittingSanta" width="223" height="300" />Now that we’ve reached December, it’s the time of year to observe (and suffer from) that familiar Jewish attitude toward Christmas: hate.</p><p>VDARE is now running its excellent <a target="_blank" href="http://www.vdare.com/piatak/091211_christmas.htm">War Against Christmas</a> exposé of assaults on Christmas by “multicultural” haters of a holiday hundreds of millions of Americans love and cherish. For my money, it’s the best source of information on this particularly hurtful aspect of the war on Western cultures and people.</p><p>Tom Piatak <a target="_blank" href="http://www.vdare.com/piatak/091211_christmas.htm">leads off</a> this year’s account, giving us a link to an Israeli paper’s description of what some Jews do on Christmas Eve. Reading it, I clearly saw the source for so much of Hollywood’s distaste for what Christmas means and what Christians do to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ.</p><p>Scurry over to this Israeli site for the skinny — <a target="_blank" href="http://www.haaretz.com/hasen/pages/ShArt.jhtml?itemNo=518438">For them, it&#8217;s wholly unholy</a>:</p><p style="padding-left: 30px;">Christmas Eve is one of the few occasions when Hasidim refrain from Torah study, do not conduct weddings or go to the <em>mikveh</em>. But they do play chess and work on their bills.</p><p style="padding-left: 30px;">On Christmas Eve, known in Jewish circles as <em>Nitel</em> Night, the <em>klipot</em> (shells) are in total control. The <em>klipot</em> are parasitical evil forces that attach themselves to the forces of good. According to <em>kabbala</em> (Jewish mysticism), on the night on which &#8220;that man&#8221; — a Jewish euphemism for Jesus &#8211; was born, not even a trace of holiness is present and the <em>klipot</em> exploit every act of holiness for their own purposes.</p><p style="padding-left: 30px;">For this reason, <em>Nitel</em> Night, from nightfall to midnight, is one of the few occasions when Hasidim refrain from Torah study. On this horrific night, they neither conduct weddings nor do they go to the <em>mikveh</em> (ritual bath). An entire folkloric literature has developed around the unusual recreational activities of <em>Nitel</em> Night.</p><p>Oh, there’s the usual disclaimer that not all Jews follow this custom, but in two decades of research on Jews, I’ve found that it’s simply a truism that Jews have an exceedingly negative view of Jesus, Mary, Christians and Christmas. No wonder so many spit when passing a church . . . or even spit on Christians themselves.</p><p>But in the <em>Haaretz</em> story, this passage about Kabbalistic toilet paper really stood out:</p><p style="padding-left: 30px;">The Knesset correspondent of the ultra-Orthodox newspaper <em>Hamodia</em>, Zvi Rosen, relates that celebrated Hasidic admorim (sect leaders) would cut a year&#8217;s supply of toilet paper for Sabbath use (to avoid tearing toilet paper on Sabbath) on this night. Actually, this disrespectful act has profound kabbalistic significance, because kabbalistic literature extensively discusses Christianity as waste material excreted from the body of the Jewish people.</p><p>Honestly, I couldn’t make this stuff up. And get this: One of their commandments recommends that they attempt procreation on Friday night, which is a holy time. “Yet on <em>Nitel</em> Night, which has no holiness, it is customary to refrain from observing the commandment, because of the fear that a Jewish child conceived on Jesus&#8217; birthday could become an apostate.”</p><p>Now how might this anti-Christian sentiment play out in, say, The Big Apple, home to so many hip and chic magazines? According to <a target="_blank" href="http://www2.canada.com/theprovince/holiday-guide/story.html?id=1108361">one account</a>, “it is tough to beat an illustration by the prominent comic-book creator Art Spiegelman. This was intended to go on the cover of the <em>New Yorker</em> magazine in December, 1994, and it revealed Santa urinating in public. Even Tina Brown, the publicity-loving editor of the <em>New Yorker</em> at the time, thought Spiegelman had gone too far, and the piece was never used. In the long history of fallen Santas, that was a rare moment of restraint.” (But Brown did run Spiegelman’s Easter cover picture of the Easter Bunny being crucified.)</p><p>As we’ll see below in another case, here Jews spin their own hatred of others as a response to — drum roll — “anti-Semitism.” As one rabbi explained about <em>Nitel</em> Night, “Anti-Semites would ambush Jews and savagely beat them, sometimes even killing them, in the streets on Christmas Eve. Thus, the rabbis decreed that Jews should remain at home that night and not wander in the streets.”</p><p>Now go back and read my two-part series last year about Hollywood movies that kill the spirit of Christmas, and sometimes kill Santa, too (here and here). Or you could read <em>Jewtopia: The Chosen Book for the Chosen People</em>, based on the surprise hit play by Bryan Fogel and Sam Wolfson. Or you could listen to  <a target="_blank" href="http://www.amazon.com/Bambi-vs-Godzilla-Practice-Business/dp/1400034442/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&amp;s=books&amp;qid=1230078243&amp;sr=1-4">David Mamet</a>: “For those who have not been paying attention, this group [Ashkenazi Jews] constitutes, and has constituted since its earliest days, the bulk of America’s movie directors and studio heads.”</p><p>In <em>The Culture-Wise Family: Upholding Christian Values in a Mass Media World</em>, Theodore Baehr and Pat Boone argued that “whoever controls the media controls the culture.” And a linchpin of that media is Hollywood and its associated TV studios and networks.</p><p>Why does it matter that Jews control Hollywood? In essence, it matters because it represents the loss of power of one group—majority white Christians—to a group with a long history of hostility toward the people and culture of the West. <a target="_blank" href="http://www.kevinmacdonald.net/books-Preface.html">Jewish control of Hollywood</a> has been a crucial means for dispossessing majority whites from their place in the country they built. As some have argued, the twentieth century was “<a target="_blank" href="http://www.amazon.com/Jewish-Century-Yuri-Slezkine/dp/0691127603/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&amp;s=books&amp;qid=1204790746&amp;sr=1-1">a Jewish century</a>,” and much of this was because Jews controlled the image factory known as Hollywood.</p><p>Again, what Kevin MacDonald demonstrates in <em>The Culture of Critique</em>, cannot be repeated too often: “The Judaization of the West means that the peoples who created the culture and traditions of the West have been made to feel deeply ashamed of their own history — surely the prelude to their demise as a culture and as a people.” And, as I argued earlier, the treatment of Christmas shows how Jews “have been able to translate this hatred of Christ and his birthday into increasingly scandalous imagery, thanks to their domination of Hollywood and TV studios.”</p><p>Today I’ll talk about how that has affected the kind of Hollywood films we get with respect to Christmas. In essence, it means that in the last forty or so years, the Christian aspect of the holiday has vanished on screen. The best we can hope for is a positive, feel-good portrayal of the season, such as we had in Tim Allen’s <em>The Santa Clause</em> (1994) or Tom Hanks’ <em>The Polar Express</em> ten years later.</p><p>Too often, however, films have associated the Christmas season with negative or even horrific stories. Perhaps the best example of this is <em>Silent Night, Deadly Night</em>. This is a 1984 slasher film that begins with a young boy named Billy  witnessing the murder of his parents by a man dressed as Santa Claus. Billy ends up at St. Mary&#8217;s Orphanage, where he is beaten by Mother Superior. Later, morphing memories of his punishment at her hands with images of Santa, Billy grows up to become a killer teenage Santa. At work, for example, he strangles a co-worker with Christmas lights and then dispatches the girl with whom the co-worker was having sex.</p><p>After a string of other Santa murders, Billy returns to the orphanage, with the police hot in pursuit. Tragically, they shoot and kill Father O’Brien, a deaf priest dressed as Santa. Sneaking into the orphanage, Billy, dressed as Santa, swings his ax at Mother Superior, but a policeman shoots him down. Imparting his central message, Billy assures viewers, &#8220;You&#8217;re safe now . . . Santa Claus . . . is gone.&#8221; Not exactly a happy message at Christmastime.</p><p>In 1984, such imagery was still able to rile the population. Siskel and Ebert condemned the film, going “so far as to read the film&#8217;s production credits on air, saying ‘shame, shame’ after each one.” Angry mothers protested the movie around the nation, and TriStars Pictures, its distributor, quickly ceased advertising the film.</p><p><em>Silent Night, Deadly Night </em>did have antecedents. <em>Black Christmas</em> was a 1974 movie set in a sorority house during Christmas break. A maniac is making calls from within the house, killing the coeds one by one. The movie also takes every opportunity to pair beloved Christmas songs with chilling scenes, a phenomenon that was later repeated in <em>Gremlins</em>, as we will see.</p><p><img class="alignright size-full wp-image-6997" title="ChristmasEvilDVD" src="http://www.toqonline.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/12/ChristmasEvilDVD.jpg" alt="ChristmasEvilDVD" width="240" height="240" />Another, <em>Christmas Evil </em>(1980), features a delusional Santa stand-in who murders three church-goers in front of a church. (He stabbed one man in the eye with a toy.) Later, while wearing a ragged Santa outfit and being chased by an angry mob, our main character drives his van off a bridge, imagining himself to be Santa in his flying sleigh.</p><p><a target="_blank" href="http://www.cincity2000.com/content/index.php?option=com_content&amp;task=view&amp;id=790&amp;Itemid=2">As Austin Pearl, a Jewish reviewer</a>, approvingly wrote, “<em>Christmas Evil</em> ruins Christmas unlike any other movie.” In particular, this reviewer liked “all the vividly disturbing images of Santa sprinkled throughout the movie.”</p><p>It’s no surprise that Pearl also liked the 2003 Billy Bob Thorton film <em>Bad Santa</em>, which was a concerted ethnic effort to trash Christmas. Jewish director Terry Zwigoff made the film under producers Ethan and Joel Coen for the Disney subsidiary Miramax, run by two more Jewish brothers, Bob and Harvey Weinstein. Billy Bob Thornton stars as the bad Santa of the title, going about his life boozing and swearing with abandon. At one point he has anal sex with an overweight woman in a changing room, while elsewhere he goes to a mall drunk and destroys a reindeer display in a drunken rage. Ho ho ho.</p><p>Near the end of this dark film, he is shot by a group of policemen but survives. Despite his obvious guilt in numerous crimes, he is pardoned because &#8220;the Phoenix police department shooting an unarmed Santa Claus in front of children was more fucked up than Rodney King.&#8221;</p><p>According to <em>Wikipedia</em>, critics described it as an &#8220;evil twin&#8221; of <em>Miracle on 34th Street</em>, the inspirational Christmas classic.  No wonder Austin Pearl wrote glowingly that “<em>Bad Santa</em> is perhaps the most subversive, offensive Christmas movie ever made—with Thornton as a truly despicable character who, for once, does not receive a total personality transplant by the movie’s end.”</p><p>Director Zwigoff intended this film for impressionable teenagers, the vast majority of whom are, one would assume, Christians. When asked if he thought the film would do well, Zwigoff answered, “I think it might. Every teenager in America is dying to see this film. Though they won&#8217;t be able to get in unless they have a very open-minded parent.” Clearly he was aware of the film’s subversive content.</p><p>Two years later came another Jewish-directed anti-Christmas movie. <em>The Ice Harvest</em>, Harold Ramis’s “grisly black comedy/film-noir,” sees Billy Bob Thornton return to a mayhem-filled Christmas. One reviewer intoned that <em>The Ice Harvest</em> “is a must-see for fans . . . in the mood to see one of the worst Christmas Eves in the history of cinema.” Roger Ebert was also impressed. “I liked the movie for the quirky way it pursues humor through the drifts of greed, lust, booze, betrayal and spectacularly complicated ways to die.” In other words, Hollywood’s version of Merry Christmas stuff.</p><p><em><strong>Gremlins</strong></em></p><p><img class="alignright size-full wp-image-6998" title="gremlin-santa" src="http://www.toqonline.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/12/gremlin-santa.jpg" alt="gremlin-santa" />Perhaps the most unsettling Christmas movie was the original <em>Gremlins </em>(1984). Though directed by Joe Dante, Steven Spielberg&#8217;s production company, Amblin Entertainment, released it. <em>Time </em>magazine characterized the film as being &#8220;developed and &#8216;presented&#8217;&#8221; by Spielberg and being one of his &#8220;children too.&#8221;</p><p>Stylistically, too, this film is completely Spielbergian, beginning with a typical suburban paradise. Snow is on the ground as local residents prepare for Christmas.</p><p>The drama begins when protagonist Billy receives a cute &#8220;<em>mogwai</em>&#8221; from his inventor father, but the creature spawns siblings that are far from full of holiday cheer. On the contrary, they bring violence, mayhem, and death to this otherwise happy time of year. Their mischief is methodically paired with normally positive symbols of Christmas. For instance, when Billy&#8217;s mom is home alone making Christmas cookies and listening to Christmas music, she is attacked by a squad of ghoulish gremlins, long in tooth and with murder on their minds. After stabbing one through the heart, she dispatches another with a deft push of the blender switch, turning the previously Christmas-cookie-aroma-filled kitchen into a bloodbath. Retreating to the living room, she is literally attacked by the Christmas tree, which is full of gremlins. This conflation of joyful Christian symbols with diabolical evil is a central device to the whole movie.</p><p>Another example comes when the police pass by Billy&#8217;s neighbor&#8217;s house and are greeted by the neighbor, dressed as Santa Claus, running about helplessly as gremlins eat into his brain. Next, Christmas-caroling gremlins arrive at grouchy old Miss Deagle&#8217;s door, only to send her flying out the second-floor window of her house in a malfunctioning motorized chair.</p><p>The scenes which most firmly tie this movie to a distinct Jewish sensibility, however, come with two extraneous dialogues between Billy and his girlfriend Kate. Passing a group of Christmas carolers singing &#8220;Silent Night,&#8221; Kate suddenly and soberly states that Christmas is a time when &#8220;a lot of people get really depressed. . . . While everybody else is opening up their presents, they&#8217;re opening up their wrists. It&#8217;s true. The suicide rate is always the highest around the holidays.&#8221; When she volunteers that she doesn&#8217;t celebrate Christmas, Billy asks, &#8220;What, are you Hindu or something?&#8221; Historically, the non-Christian group in America with mixed feelings toward Christmas is not Hindus, but Jews. Here the mask is in place but the true message is easily discernible.</p><p>Much later in the movie, after the gremlins have wreaked havoc on Kingston Falls, Kate launches into a startling horror story about Christmas, one that seems completely gratuitous since it is independent of the blood-thirsty gremlin theme. Surveying the rubble left by the marauding gremlins, Kate relates how she now has another reason to hate Christmas. It seems that when she was nine, she and her mother were decorating the tree on Christmas Eve, waiting for her father to come home from the office. They waited, but he never came.</p><p>Then, four or five days later, as the temperature dropped, Kate went to make a fire. &#8220;And that&#8217;s when I noticed the smell.&#8221;  Thinking it was a dead cat or bird, they called the fire department to clean it out, but instead &#8220;they pulled out my father. He was dressed in a Santa Claus suit. He&#8217;d been climbing down the chimney on Christmas Eve, his arms loaded with presents. He was going to surprise us. He slipped and broke his neck, died instantly. And that&#8217;s how I found out there was no Santa Claus.&#8221;</p><p><strong><em>Mr. Hankey&#8217;s Christmas Classics</em></strong></p><p><img class="alignright size-medium wp-image-6999" title="hankey_flush" src="http://www.toqonline.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/12/hankey_flush-300x225.jpg" alt="hankey_flush" width="300" height="225" />Finally, we arrive at what must be the most blatantly hostile and offensive portrayal of Christmas ever found in the mainstream American media. The creators of the animated series <em>South Park</em> concocted a Christmas character to replace Santa. This new character is &#8220;Mr. Hankey the Christmas Poo,&#8221; an animated human feces. Mr. Hankey was introduced in <a target="_blank" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mr._Hankey,_the_Christmas_Poo_%28South_Park_episode%29">a 1997 episode</a> that showed the young Jewish boy Kyle brushing his teeth. Mr. Hankey, wearing a Santa hat, jumps out of the toilet bowl and sings a song about Santa and Christmas. The starkest comment in the scene comes when this animated feces writes &#8220;Noel&#8221; in excrement on the mirror. (This early version can be viewed <a target="_blank" href="http://www.masked-dispatcher.com/funny-video-south-parks-mr-hanky/">here</a>.)</p><p>No wonder Mr. Pearl, our Jewish reviewer, gleefully explained his motive for collecting anti-Christmas films in these terms: “It’s my wanting to recognize things that are deliberately anti-Christmas. It’s my wanting to take a big you know what on everyone’s Christmas spirit. . . . Each one of them is so anti-Christmas that I want to share them with the world, thereby forcing everyone to realize how liberating it is to rip off the Christmas mind control device and have some laughs in the process.” (Pearl provides embedded <a target="_blank" href="http://www.cincity2000.com/content/index.php?option=com_content&amp;task=view&amp;id=790&amp;Itemid=2">YouTube scenes</a> of the anti-Christmas films he recommends).</p><p><img class="alignright size-medium wp-image-7000" title="hankey_by_the_fire" src="http://www.toqonline.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/12/hankey_by_the_fire-300x225.jpg" alt="hankey_by_the_fire" width="300" height="225" />Two years later, the more extensive Mr. Hankey version was released as <em>Mr. Hankey’s Christmas Classics</em>. (A parallel CD of the songs includes the delightful &#8220;Merry Fucking Christmas”). Here Mr. Hankey besmirches the faces of children singing Christmas songs. He then introduces us to the next scene, Christmastime in Hell, where Hitler is shown crying over his Christmas tree. Later, when Jesus and Santa sing a duet, Santa gets miffed that there are far more songs about Jesus than about him, so he leaves the stage. When Jesus implores him to return, Santa speaks the cheery words, “Aw, fuck you, Jesus!” (Read the script here.)</p><p>This episode is a parody of the <em>Charlie Brown Christmas Special </em>in which everyone yells out &#8220;Merry Christmas, Charlie Brown!&#8221; only after Charlie has realized the true meaning of Christmas—which has Christ at its center. In the  South Park version, the characters wish the Jewish boy Kyle a Merry Christmas only after he has taught everyone, through Mr. Hankey the Christmas Poo, that Christmas and Christianity are shit.</p><p><strong>Replacing Christmas with the culture of the Holocaust</strong></p><p>Finally, this brings us to Christmas this year [2008]. More than ever, the focus will be on Jewish themes rather than Christian. As a recent <em>New York Times</em> article <a target="_blank" href="http://www.nytimes.com/aponline/2008/12/24/arts/AP-Film-Nazi-Christmas.html?_r=1">admitted</a>, Holocaust-themed Christmas releases have been the norm for years. <em>Sophie&#8217;s Choice</em>, for example, debuted in December 1982, <em>Schindler&#8217;s List</em> was released in the same month in 1993, and <em>The Pianist</em> opened two days after Christmas in 2002.</p><p>This year is no different: On Christmas Day the new Tom Cruise movie <em>Valkyrie </em>will debut. This film features Cruise as a German officer who plots to kill Hitler, prompting Cruise to joke in an interview, “Go kill Hitler on Christmas!” We will also have <em>Defiance </em>and <em>Good</em>, two more Nazi-oriented films, which will premier a week after Christmas. Then there is <em>The Boy in the Striped Pajamas</em>, “which tells the story of a forbidden friendship between the son of a Nazi officer and a Jewish boy imprisoned in a concentration camp.” And don’t miss <em>The Reader</em>, which features Kate Winslet being tried for her years as a concentration-camp guard. Finally, there is <em>Adam Resurrected</em>, starring Jeff Goldblum as a Holocaust survivor living in a mental institution. The title seems to posit the death of Jesus at Christmastime and his replacement with a Jewish resurrection.</p><p>Out with the old religion, in with the new. A friend wrote: “I&#8217;ve seen the previews for <em>Valkyrie</em>. Good grief! And to release it on Christmas Day — it really doesn&#8217;t get more obvious than this. Sort of like saying, ‘Don&#8217;t you realize, THIS is your new religion, not all this Jesus business!’&#8221;</p><p>Three years ago, Fox News Channel host John Gibson wrote <em>The War on Christmas: How the Liberal Plot to Ban the Sacred Christian Holiday Is Worse Than You Thought</em>. Well, it has gotten worse than we thought. But Gibson’s parting words are still the only formula for a reversal in this war. “Those who would ban Christmas and Christians should not mistake the signs on the horizon. The Christians are coming to retake their place in the public square, and the most natural battleground in this war is Christmas. The war on Christmas is joined.”</p><p>And may the good guys win. 			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>A recent <a target="_blank" href="http://blogs.jta.org/telegraph/article/2009/12/18/1009810/inglourious-basterds-at-jts">panel discussion</a> of Quentin Tarantino’s <em>Inglourious Basterds</em> had some interesting tidbits about Jewish revenge fantasies:</p><p style="padding-left: 30px;">But [Dr. Amy] Kalmanofsky quickly put that argument [that Jews should feel guilty about revenge]  to bed, noting that Jewish texts have always embraced revenge fantasies, from the destruction of the Egyptians in Exodus and Haman &amp; Co. in Megillat Esther. And [Rabbi Jack] Moline — echoing the message of one of his Yom Kippur sermons from earlier this year — also praised the film, describing it as a way of helping American Jews shed some of their Holocaust baggage and getting more comfortable with their Zionist sides.</p><p>Moline told his congregants: “To my surprise, my complete and utter surprise, there was something cathartic and deeply satisfying watching this revenge fantasy play out. It was as if something I did not dare admit — my secret blood lust to do unto them what they did unto us — was being acknowledged, permitted and validated. I was liberated from victim hood.”</p><p>For making Jews feel good about their blood lust, Tarantino’s future in Hollywood is assured. The producer, Lawrence Bender told Tarantino “Quentin you are about to make your <em>Bar Mitzvah</em> movie, you are going to be officially let into the tribe.”</p><p>This reminds me of Alison Weir’s wonderful recent article “<a target="_blank" href="http://www.ifamericansknew.org/cur_sit/aw-organs2.html">Israeli Organ Trafficing and Theft: From Palestine to Moldova</a>.” She discusses the work of Prof. Nancy Scheper-Hughes of the University of California-Berkeley:</p><p style="padding-left: 30px;">Scheper-Hughes discussed the two motivations of Israeli traffickers. One was greed, she said. The other was somewhat chilling: “Revenge, restitution – reparation for the Holocaust.”</p><p style="padding-left: 30px;">She described speaking with Israeli brokers who told her “it’s kind of ‘an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth. We’re going to get every single kidney and liver and heart that we can. The world owes it to us.’”</p><p style="padding-left: 30px;">Scheper-Hughes says that she “even heard doctors saying that.”</p><p>I think that revenge fantasies are a common among Jews and it goes way beyond Nazis. In “<a target="_blank" href="http://www.vdare.com/macdonald/090318_madison.htm">Memories of Madison</a>” I wrote that</p><p style="padding-left: 30px;">In my experience at Madison during the 1960s, there was also a strong desire [among Jews] for bloody, apocalyptic revenge against the entire social structure—perceived by them to be the goyish, fascist, capitalist, racist, anti-Semitic social structure. … This fits well with the set of interviews with New Left Jewish radicals in Percy Cohen’s <em><a target="_blank" href="http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/012178780X?ie=UTF8&amp;tag=theocciquaron-20&amp;linkCode=as2&amp;camp=1789&amp;creative=390957&amp;creativeASIN=012178780X">Jewish Radicals and Radical Jews</a><img style="border:none !important; margin:0px !important;" src="http://www.assoc-amazon.com/e/ir?t=theocciquaron-20&amp;l=as2&amp;o=1&amp;a=012178780X" border="0" alt="" width="1" height="1" /></em>: many had destructive fantasies in which the revolution would result in “humiliation, dispossession, imprisonment or execution of the oppressors.” These fantasies of destruction of the social order were combined with a belief in their own omnipotence and their ability to create a non-oppressive social order.</p><p>As Whites become a minority in Western societies and Jews constitute a hostile elite, this Jewish focus on revenge  has grave implications for the future. Revenge becomes an important issue given that Jews tend to interpret their history of living among Europeans as a long series of persecutions beginning with Christianity and ending with the Holocaust. Various contributors there document how an overwhelmingly Christian America which for centuries celebrated Christmas as both a religious and cultural holiday has in recent years moved vigorously first to quash religious observance of Christmas in the public square and is now mopping up the remaining secular symbols.</p><p>While much has been written and reported about this assault, few want to situate the attack on Christmas within a larger set of conflicts between Jews and white Christians. But to understand the hostility toward Christmas in America, one must do just that, as Jewish <em>Townhall.com</em> columnist Burt Prelutsky bluntly did in his 2004 column &#8220;<a target="_blank" href="http://www.worldnetdaily.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=41978">The Jewish Grinch who stole Christmas</a>.&#8221;</p><p>The blame for the brisk departure of Christmas observations in so many parts of American life now, Prelutsky argued, can be blamed on “my fellow Jews. When it comes to pushing the multicultural, anti-Christian agenda, you find Jewish judges, Jewish journalists, and the American Civil Liberties Union, at the forefront. . . . But the dirty little secret in America is that anti-Semitism is no longer a problem in society — it&#8217;s been replaced by a rampant anti-Christianity. “</p><p>One could spend a year, from one Christmas to the next, reading about the Gentile-Jewish basis of the War on Christmas. Some accounts are scholarly, while others are more popular. Some overtly point to the religious split as the source of the hostility, while others cautiously skirt around the issue.</p><p>Rush Limbaugh’s younger brother David is at pains not to name the source of the powerful anti-Christian bias he sees in our culture. Thus, in his 2003 work <em><a target="_blank" href="http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0060732075?ie=UTF8&amp;tag=theocciquaron-20&amp;linkCode=as2&amp;camp=1789&amp;creative=390957&amp;creativeASIN=0060732075">Persecution: How Liberals Are Waging War Against Christianity</a><img style="border:none !important; margin:0px !important;" src="http://www.assoc-amazon.com/e/ir?t=theocciquaron-20&amp;l=as2&amp;o=1&amp;a=0060732075" border="0" alt="" width="1" height="1" /></em>, he can open a chapter by writing “In the documented bias against Christians and Christianity in our modern culture, Hollywood and Big Media play very major roles.” But he ignores the highly Jewish nature of the American media in general and Hollywood in particular. In fact, the words “Jews” and “Judaism” do not even appear in his extensive index.</p><p>The same can be said for Bill O’Reilly — another culture warrior on the good side of the War on Christmas who never mentions the Jewish angle. But I love his poster anyway, even though he doesn&#8217;t want to say whom he is really fighting against. This silence is, of course, a wonderful comment on Jewish power in America.</p><p>Incidentally, the Jewish dominance of Hollywood is so obvious and undeniable that Los Angeles Times’ columnist Joel Stein recently announced it. What else can you say when all eight major film studios are run by Jews. And Abe Foxman seems to agree. So I guess it’s okay for us at TOO to say it.</p><p>But, according to Foxman, these Hollywood Jewish executives just &#8220;happen to be Jewish,&#8221; as if the Jewishness of Hollywood really doesn’t make any difference. But of course it does, and the War on Christmas is Exhibit A for that proposition.</p><p>In <em><a target="_blank" href="http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0830743057?ie=UTF8&amp;tag=theocciquaron-20&amp;linkCode=as2&amp;camp=1789&amp;creative=390957&amp;creativeASIN=0830743057">The Culture-Wise Family: Upholding Christian Values in a Mass Media World</a><img style="border:none !important; margin:0px !important;" src="http://www.assoc-amazon.com/e/ir?t=theocciquaron-20&amp;l=as2&amp;o=1&amp;a=0830743057" border="0" alt="" width="1" height="1" /></em>,  Theodore Baehr and Pat Boone have assembled a collection of Christian writings on the perils they and their families face in an increasingly anti-Christian America. Arguing that “whoever controls the media controls the culture,” they too avoid direct discussion of Jewish roles. Still, by including a chapter such as William Lind’s excellent “<a target="_blank" href="http://www.worldnetdaily.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=55833">Who Stole Our Culture</a>,” it is obvious to even the halfway informed reader what civilizational rival they are discussing.</p><p>Lind goes as far as anyone in this book to frame the conflict:</p><p style="padding-left: 30px;">The Frankfurt School was well on the way to creating political correctness. Then suddenly, fate intervened. In 1933, Adolf Hitler and the Nazi Party came to power in Germany, where the Frankfurt School was located. Since the Frankfurt School was Marxist, and the Nazis hated Marxism, and since almost all its members were Jewish, it decided to leave Germany. In 1934, the Frankfurt School, including its leading members from Germany, was re-established in New York City with help from Columbia University. Soon, its focus shifted from destroying traditional Western culture in Germany to doing so in the United States. It would prove all too successful.</p><p>Needless to say, this emphasis on the Frankfurt school moves the discussion in the same direction as Kevin MacDonald does in <em><a target="_blank" href="http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0759672229?ie=UTF8&amp;tag=theocciquaron-20&amp;linkCode=as2&amp;camp=1789&amp;creative=390957&amp;creativeASIN=0759672229">The Culture of Critique: An Evolutionary Analysis of Jewish Involvement in Twentieth-Century Intellectual and Political Movements</a><img style="border:none !important; margin:0px !important;" src="http://www.assoc-amazon.com/e/ir?t=theocciquaron-20&amp;l=as2&amp;o=1&amp;a=0759672229" border="0" alt="" width="1" height="1" /></em>, where MacDonald describes the broad range of Jewish movements arrayed against the culture of the West, including Christianity.</p><p>Perhaps one of the best books on this <em>Kulturkampf </em>is Fox News Channel host John Gibson’s 2005 <em><a target="_blank" href="http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/1595230289?ie=UTF8&amp;tag=theocciquaron-20&amp;linkCode=as2&amp;camp=1789&amp;creative=390957&amp;creativeASIN=1595230289">The War on Christmas: How the Liberal Plot to Ban the Sacred Christian Holiday Is Worse Than You Thought</a><img style="border:none !important; margin:0px !important;" src="http://www.assoc-amazon.com/e/ir?t=theocciquaron-20&amp;l=as2&amp;o=1&amp;a=1595230289" border="0" alt="" width="1" height="1" /></em>. One need not read too intently between the lines to realize that the bulk of the “secular liberals” Gibson blames for the assault on Christmas are Jews.</p><p>He does this by bookending his tale with stories about Christians and Jews. In his preface, he relates the pain a Christian father recently experienced upon learning that his four-year-old son had learned to paint a menorah in preschool but not a Christmas tree. This was because the school had no “Christmas” tree, only a “friendship” tree. In contrast, the school displayed large drawings of menorahs with big block letters spelling out HAPPY HANUKKAH. It’s pretty clear which culture is dominant these days.</p><p>Gibson closes the book with a debate with Ira Glasser of the ACLU, displaying the “hairsplitting” style of argumentation that Glasser so forcefully wielded in a debate. “Hairsplitting,” of course, could just as easily be what many people mean when they say reasoning is “Talmudic.”</p><p>Finally, if one is so inclined, a perusal of law professor Stephen M. Feldman’s <em><a target="_blank" href="http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0814726844?ie=UTF8&amp;tag=theocciquaron-20&amp;linkCode=as2&amp;camp=1789&amp;creative=390957&amp;creativeASIN=0814726844">Please Don&#8217;t Wish Me a Merry Christmas: A Critical History of the Separation of Church and State (Critical America Series)</a><img style="border:none !important; margin:0px !important;" src="http://www.assoc-amazon.com/e/ir?t=theocciquaron-20&amp;l=as2&amp;o=1&amp;a=0814726844" border="0" alt="" width="1" height="1" /></em> may be informative. What does it say, for instance, when someone who writes a book with such a title opens with the sentence “I am Jewish”? The scorching hostility toward everything Christian in this New York University Press book is inescapable, which is why Richard John Neuhaus called Feldman “relentless,” if not “fanatical.”</p><p>In everyday parlance, this debate is often referred to as the one over “A Neutral Public Square,” and it has been going on for a long time. &#8220;Happy Holidays&#8221; and &#8220;Season&#8217;s Greetings&#8221; were not always ubiquitous greetings at the end of December. For instance, back in 1952, George S. Kaufman appeared on a popular television show one week before Christmas and was asked what he wanted for the holiday. He replied, &#8220;Let&#8217;s make this one program on which no one sings &#8216;Silent Night.&#8217;&#8221;  The response from the audience (largely Gentile, one would presume) was fast and furious: Kaufman was removed from the show.</p><p>Fast-forward to 1982 and the popular <em>Saturday Night Live </em>could feature a skit called &#8220;<a target="_blank" href="http://snltranscripts.jt.org/82/82igumby.phtml">Merry Christmas, Dammit</a>!&#8221; This skit portrayed the relationship between Donny and Marie Osmond, two non-Jewish sibling pop singers, as incestuous, and the Virgin Mary was described as &#8220;that virgin chick&#8221; in a jazzed up version of &#8220;Silent Night.&#8221; Eddie Murphy — in his popular &#8220;Gumby&#8221; guise — reads children’s story in which Santa tears out the lungs of one of his elves because the elf asked for a sip of Santa’s hot chocolate. He ends the skit by saying “And to everyone out there — a merry Christmas! And to my producer, my director, my manager, and my lawyer — Happy Hanukkah, boys!” Obviously sensibilities had changed by then, and the people calling the shots were Jews.</p><p>Indeed, Jewish aversion to Christian symbols has resulted in a much more neutral public arena. As political scientist Benjamin Ginsberg, in his much under-appreciated 1993 work <em><a target="_blank" href="http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0226296660?ie=UTF8&amp;tag=theocciquaron-20&amp;linkCode=as2&amp;camp=1789&amp;creative=390957&amp;creativeASIN=0226296660">The Fatal Embrace: Jews and the State</a><img style="border:none !important; margin:0px !important;" src="http://www.assoc-amazon.com/e/ir?t=theocciquaron-20&amp;l=as2&amp;o=1&amp;a=0226296660" border="0" alt="" width="1" height="1" /></em>, wrote:</p><p style="padding-left: 30px;">Religious symbols and forms of expression that Jews find threatening have been almost completely eliminated from schools and other public institutions. Suits brought by the ACLU, an organization whose leadership and membership are predominantly Jewish, secured federal court decisions banning officially sanctioned prayer in the public schools and crèches and other religious displays in parks and public buildings.</p><p>Writer Mark Steyn light-heartedly described how Jews created a gradual division between religious and secular Christmas symbols, making America a society where &#8220;Jesus, Mary and Joseph are for home and for church; Santa, Rudolph and Frosty the Snowman—the  great secular trinity—are for everybody.” He continues:</p><p style="padding-left: 30px;">It&#8217;s 1934 . . . and it falls to a Jew to introduce Tin Pan Alley&#8217;s first Christmas pop standard. Isidore Israel Itkowitz—or Eddie Cantor—doesn&#8217;t much like the song, but his wife talks him into it:</p><p style="padding-left: 30px;">&#8216;He&#8217;s making a list</p><p style="padding-left: 30px;">And checking it twice,</p><p style="padding-left: 30px;">He&#8217;s gonna find out</p><p style="padding-left: 30px;">Who&#8217;s naughty or nice.</p><p style="padding-left: 30px;">Santa Claus is coming to town . . .&#8217;</p><p style="padding-left: 30px;">In just 60 years, those words have become as familiar to most Americans as the Pledge of Allegiance. &#8216;Rudolph the Red-nosed Reindeer&#8217; has gone down in his-to-ree in only 45 years. He&#8217;s not just for Episcopalians and Catholics—and who better to teach little girls &#8216;that everyone deserves to be treated with dignity&#8217; regardless of the color of their nose?  Johnny Marks had such a hit—it&#8217;s one of the biggest sellers of all time—that he founded his own publishing house, St Nicholas Music, and devoted the rest of his life to composing seasonal songs, from &#8216;Rockin&#8217; Around the Christmas Tree&#8217; to a beautiful setting of Longfellow&#8217;s Civil War poem, &#8216;I Heard the Bells on Christmas Day&#8217;. . . . In the New World, the most potent Americana—observational or aspirational—is created by Jews. Perhaps the Yankees took the sleigh rides and winter wonderlands for granted, but you had to have grown up in the lowest East Side ghetto to see that</p><p style="padding-left: 30px;">It&#8217;s a happy feeling nothing in the world can buy</p><p style="padding-left: 30px;">As they pass around the coffee and the</p><p style="padding-left: 30px;">pumpkin pie . . .</p><p style="padding-left: 30px;">Jule Styne . . . was born in the Jewish slums of Bethnal Green and liked to say that it was coming from that background that made him understand the dreams of ordinary Americans. With Sammy Cahn, he wrote:</p><p style="padding-left: 30px;">Oh, the weather outside is frightful</p><p style="padding-left: 30px;">But the fire is so delightful</p><p style="padding-left: 30px;">And since we&#8217;ve no place to go</p><p style="padding-left: 30px;">Let it snow! Let it snow! Let it snow!</p><p style="padding-left: 30px;">. . . Irving Berlin understood. . . . Today, the calendar turns to Berlin anthems, to &#8216;Easter Parade&#8217;; and &#8216;God Bless America&#8217; and &#8216;White Christmas&#8217;. They had white Christmases in Temun, Siberia, where he was born, but it&#8217;s not about the weather: a white Russian Christmas wouldn&#8217;t be the same. . . . (See M. Steyn, &#8220;A Triumph of Miscegenation,&#8221; <em>The Spectator</em>, December 17/24, 1994.)</p><p>Of course, this “compromise” to take Christ out of popular culture was a great victory for Jews, for it allowed the hostility many Jews felt toward a Christian majority to find vent without the Gentiles really noticing. Philip Roth, however, knew <a target="_blank" href="http://www.amazon.com/Operation-Shylock-Confession-Vintage-International/dp/0679750290/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&amp;s=books&amp;qid=1229756156&amp;sr=1-1">exactly what it meant</a>:</p><p style="padding-left: 30px;">The radio was playing &#8216;Easter Parade&#8217; and I thought, But this is Jewish genius on a par with the Ten Commandments. God gave Moses the Ten Commandments and then He gave to Irving Berlin &#8216;Easter Parade&#8217; and &#8216;White Christmas.&#8217; The two holidays that celebrate the divinity of Christ—the divinity that&#8217;s the very heart of the Jewish rejection of Christianity—and what does Irving Berlin brilliantly do? He de-Christs them both! Easter he turns into a fashion show and Christmas into a holiday about snow. Gone is the gore and the murder of Christ—down with the crucifix and up with the bonnet! He turns their religion into schlock. But nicely! Nicely! So nicely the goyim don&#8217;t even know what hit &#8216;em. They love it. Everybody loves it. The Jews especially. Jews loathe Jesus.</p><p>Sadly, Jews have been able to translate this hatred of Christ and his birthday into increasingly scandalous imagery, thanks to their domination of Hollywood and TV studios. 			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>In the <em>New York Times</em>, Michael Feinstein (a Jewish Op-Ed contributor) <a target="_blank" href="http://go2.wordpress.com/?id=725X1342&amp;site=antisemitica.wordpress.com&amp;url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.nytimes.com%2F2009%2F12%2F18%2Fopinion%2F18feinstein.html">contests </a>the Christian ownership of Christmas in America’s “newspaper of record.” He argues that the “spirit of the holiday is universal” and that Christians should understand “this encroachment.” Feinstein claims that we live in a “multicultural time” and the “mixing up” of traditions is the “inevitable result.” Is it really?</p><p>In a moment of candor, Feinstein draws attention to the various Jewish writers who have “eroded” the Christian “religious tradition” and contributed to the secularization of the holiday. He speaks of his “barely concealed rage” at the audacity of an orchestra board representative who told him his concert program was “too Jewish.” In response, he defiantly promised the second night’s show would be “even more Jewish.”</p><p>I can’t imagine an offensive Christian article about Jews, one written in such a condescending and contemptuous spirit, ever getting published in the pages of the <em>New York Times</em>, especially in the holiday season. Apparently, NYT editors don’t believe their multiculturalist sensitivity is applicable to America’s Christian majority, but this is hardly a revelation.</p><p>It could serve as a starting point, however, for a much needed discussion of “Jewish Privilege.”</p>]]></content:encoded>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><strong>&#8220;Multiculturalism Malfunctioning is Israel&#8221;</strong><br /><em><a target="_blank" href="http://theoccidentalobserver.net/tooblog/?p=177">The Occidental Observer Blog</a></em>, December 16, 2009</p><p>It would appear that multiculturalism in Israel could well use a course of anabolic steroids, as the Israelis appear not to be feeling its strength.</p><p style="padding-left: 30px;">Jewish lobby wages war on Christmas trees</p><p style="padding-left: 30px;">Lobby for Jewish values passes out fliers against hotels, restaurants putting up Christmas trees, other Christian symbols ahead of civil New Year, say businesses who do so risk losing kosher certification</p><p style="padding-left: 30px;">Ari Galhar</p><p style="padding-left: 30px;">A new front for religious battles: Hotels and restaurants</p><p style="padding-left: 30px;">The “Lobby for Jewish values” this week began operating against restaurants and hotels that plan to put up Christmas trees and other Christian symbols ahead of Christmas and the civil New Year.</p><p style="padding-left: 30px;">According to the lobby’s Chairman, Ofer Cohen, they have received backing by the rabbis, “and we are even considering publishing the names of the businesses that put up Christian symbols ahead of the Christian holiday and call for a boycott against them.”</p><p style="padding-left: 30px;">Fliers and ads distributed among the public read, “The people of Israel have given their soul over the years in order to maintain the values of the Torah of Israel and the Jewish identity.</p><p style="padding-left: 30px;">“You should also continue to follow this path of the Jewish people’s tradition and not give in to the clownish atmosphere of the end of the civil year. And certainly not help those businesses that sell or put up the foolish symbols of Christianity.”</p><p style="padding-left: 30px;">The Jerusalem Rabbinate also works each year to ensure restaurants and hotels receiving kosher certification from the Jerusalem Religious Council do not put up Christian symbols.</p><p style="padding-left: 30px;">According to a senior official in the kashrut department, this is done each year consensually, but that businesses which do not meet this requirement may find their kashrut certificate revoked.</p><p style="padding-left: 30px;">It should be noted that most of the hotels in Jerusalem and a significant part of the restaurants in the capital receive permanent kosher certification from the city’s religious council.</p><p>Considering that there is a significant Christian caucus that is staunchly pro-Israel and whose members even put their money where their mouths are, it would appear that, were these Christians ever to visit that troubled country around this time of the year, they would be disappointed, encountering absolutely no concessions to their faith. Sadly, these Christians, being wet and limp-wristed, meekly take any amount of scorn or abuse without a word of complaint; they are too scared to offend anyone. I do not respect them at all. Being, as they are, enthusiastic champions of multiculturalism, I would respect them somewhat if they demonstrated the courage of their convictions by demanding, vociferously and with righteous anger, tolerance and diversity in the Jewish state – including the right for hotels and restaurants to display Christmas trees, if they so wish, without threats or sanctions.</p><p>Come to think of it, however, I think the Jewish lobby has an excellent initiative that the West should emulate. The Christmas tree is important, even if one is not a Christian, as it has its roots in Germanic and Roman paganism. Hotels and restaurants that fail to display Christmas trees should be punished with a withholding of custom, accompanied by naming and shaming, of which they should be made aware. What we are lacking is the equivalent of the Jewish kosher certification. It seems a shame that we have not developed an authochtonous <em>völkisch </em>certification: one that is prestigious and requires exacting criteria, rigorous standards, periodic inspections, and annual fees; and which entails the right to display proudly a badge or seal that indicates to users of the business’ goods and services that these are a) of excellent quality, and b) actively contributing to the continuance and advancement of traditional European culture and values. If such a certification existed (I can dream), the threat of revocation, and the shame and vituperation that would ideally follow, would be an added weapon in the arsenal of opprobrium against businesses that suddenly developed socially and culturally obnoxious practices.</p>]]></content:encoded>

What is the source of this vengefulness?</em></p><p><strong>Hervé Ryssen</strong>: The spirit of revenge is found in quite a few texts. It appears in novels like Albert Cohen’s <em>Frères humains</em> or Patrick Modiano’s <em>La Place de l’Etoile</em>. The current American guru of Afrocentrism, Martin Bernal, who is “white,” also evokes this sentiment: “My goal is to reduce the intellectual arrogance of Europeans.” Now, if one plunges into the remote past, one realizes that these attitudes have traversed the centuries without so much as a wrinkle.</p><p>At the beginning of the 16th century, for example, Rabbi Shlomo Molkho, who was regarded by many Jews as a Messianic figure, wrote his very revealing prophetic visions in which one finds the idea of a “revenge against the gentiles” which will be achieved. He also assures us that “the foreigners will be broken” and that “the nations will tremble” (Moshe Idel, <em>Messianisme et mystique</em>, 1994, pp. 65-66). Moshe Idel comments: “the poem of Molkho clearly refers to the advent of a double revenge: against Edom and Ishmael,” i.e., against Christendom and Islam, then he adds furthermore: “God reveals not only how to fight against Christianity . . . but still how to break the force of Christianity so that the Redemption occurs” (p. 48). Isn’t it clear?</p><p>One can find this type of delirious prophecy in many other Jewish historical characters, such as Isaac Abravanel, who was the chief of the Jewish community of Spain before the expulsion of 1492, and who became one of the mythical heroes of the Jews of Iberian origin. He also quite explicitly calls for the revenge of the people of Israel against Christendom and invited “all the nations to go to war against the land of Edom” (the vision of Obadia, in Genesis 20:13, quoted in <span><span>John-Christoph Attias, <em>Isaac Abravanel: La mémoire et l&#8217;espérance</em></span></span> [Paris: Editions du Cerf, 1992], p. 256).</p><p>For those who still wonder about the reasons for this secular hatred, here is a small explanation: “It is close the day when the eternal will take revenge on all the nations that destroyed the First Temple and which controlled Israel in the exile. And with you also, Edom, as you made at the time of the destruction of the Second Temple, you will know the sword and revenge (Obadia). . . . Any deliverance promised to Israel is associated with the fall of Edom” (Lamentations 4:22; p. 276).</p><p>This vengeful hatred, nursed for twenty centuries, was also expressed by the philosopher Jacob Talmon, who wrote in 1965: “The Jews have very old blood feuds to settle with the Christian West” (J.-L. Talmon, <em>Destin d’Israël</em>, [Paris: Calmann-Lévy 1965, 1967], p. 18). Pierre Paraf, the former President of the LICA (League against Anti-Semitism), writes, in the voice of a character of his novel republished in 2000: “So many of our brothers marked by circumcision groan under the whip of the Christians. Glory to God! Jerusalem will gather them together one day; they will have their revenge!” (<em>Quand Israël aima</em> [Paris: Les belles letters, 1929, 2000, p. 19). These people are tenacious in their resentment.</p><p><strong><em> </em></strong></p><p><strong><em>Mechanopolis</em></strong><em>: We really are far from the cinematic stereotype of the “poor little persecuted Jew.” In the end, can one take seriously the widespread idea, or “prejudice,” that “the Jews want to dominate the world”?</em></p><p><strong>Hervé Ryssen</strong>: I do not have any personal ideas on this subject, and I am content to analyze what is written. Consequently, I cannot say that it is a general disposition of all Jewish intellectuals. But this idea was expressed by some of them. The book on Abravanel confirms this interpretation, on the basis of biblical texts: “At the time of the Messiah,” he writes, “Samuel thought that all the nations would be subjects of Israel, in accordance with what is written: ‘His empire will extend from sea to sea and from the river to the ends of the earth’” (Zechariah 9: 10, p. 181). “During the deliverance to come, a king of the house of David will reign” (<span><span>Attias, <em>Isaac Abravanel, </em></span></span>p. 228). In fact “the great peace would reign on earth at the time of the King-Messiah” (<span><span>Attias, <em>Isaac Abravanel, </em></span></span>p. 198). Here we have confirmation that Israel militates for “peace”!</p><p><strong><em> </em></strong></p><p>Camille Marbo, in her novel <em>Flammes juives</em> (Paris: Les Belles Lettres 1936, 1999) tells the story of young Moroccan Jews who leave their <em>mellah</em> and settle in France in the 1920s. One explicitly speaks about the “conquest of the world by Israel” (p. 10). One also finds such passages: “‘Israel must control the world,’ said Daniel. . . . ‘They fear us,’ repeated the old man Benatar, ‘because we are the race of the Prophets’” (p. 18); “Our generation which can conquer Christendom has not yet come. You yourselves will lay the foundations, and your children will carry out the task. They will confound the Christians. Israel will lead the world as it must” (p. 126).
